Clarence Thomas will not teach at George Washington University this fall, weeks after a student-led petition sought his removal.
Associate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas will not teach at GWU Law School this fall.
Thomas' co-lecturer said the justice would be "unavailable" for the upcoming semester.
Thomas had previously taught a course at the law school in Washington, DC, since 2011.
Associate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas will not be teaching at George Washington University Law School this fall, the school's student newspaper reported Wednesday.
The news, which comes weeks after circulation of a student-led petition to fire Thomas as a lecturer over his June 24 vote to overturn Roe v. Wade, was announced in an email from Gregory Maggs, a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, who has been co-teaching a constitutional law seminar with Thomas since 2011.

Why would Justice Thomas cave to the mob?

Given what the mob has been doing to Kavanaugh and his family, and how DoJ is doing NOTHING about it, probably trying to stay alive.

Idiots lose the opportunity to learn from a great jurist. Their loss.
Posted on 7/27/22 at 7:25 pm to fatboydave
Why seek to educate those unwilling to learn?
Posted on 7/27/22 at 7:27 pm to fatboydave
So the student body of GWU is filled with racists. Go figure.

Who knew he talked?
He goes years on the bench not saying a word
He's stealing money up there

What a privilege and honor it would be to be taught by a freaking United States Supreme Court Justice for any law student. GWU doesn’t deserve his time. Hell, I’m as Republican/conservative as it gets generally, but even I would be thrilled and recognize the privilege it would have been to be in a law school where someone like Ruth Bader Ginsberg was going to be my actual teacher.
It’s like if someone was training to be a professional golfer and had Tiger Woods lined up to personally give them lessons only to run him off because they didn’t agree with all of his opinions. Utter nonsense

Imagine thinking you were going to attend lectures by Thomas and a pack of soft skulls fuss and succeeed to have him leave.

You mean he is a justice that listens to the arguments of all of the attorneys. And that makes you mad? couldn’t be because of his skin color could it?
Tell you what. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. Show us where you said justice Powell or Brennan was stealing money and it clearly won’t be a racist thing. TIA.

You do realize as the senior Justice on the court he now issues every majority opinion when the Chief Justice John Roberts isn’t in the majority right?
Supreme Court Justices speak through their written opinions. Just because Thomas’s opinions are above your reading comprehension, does not mean he doesn’t “speak”.

Dude doesn’t understand that Supreme Court justices officially speak via their written opinions on cases. Sad!
