Just when I think I'm all pumped up for the Red Wave, McCarthy breaks out his wet blanket

Republicans are such useless pussies. I fully admit I am desperate to get Democrats out of power just to simply slow down some of this madness, but there is a part of me that hates these RINO hacks so bad, I almost wouldn't mind seeing them lose. In many ways, I honestly hate these Republicans more than Democrats.

quote:

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy says if Republicans retake Congress after the midterms, they will not rush to impeach President Biden because he does not want to use the process for political purposes as Democrats did against former President Trump.

quote:

When asked whether he thought anyone in the Biden administration had committed an impeachable offense, McCarthy replied: "I don’t see it before me right now.

quote:

McCarthy said the GOP needs to practice what they preach: "If you spent all that time arguing against using impeachment for political purposes, you gotta be able to sustain exactly what you said."

this is why republicans lose. I don't blame him; I blame the republicans who vote scum like him into office and keep voting for them

Frickin Republicans gotta take the high road thinking they'll win more votes next time or something. More like they hate to rock the boat. I've been registered independent for most of my voting life. Really want Republicans to get a landslide but this time they need to treat it as a mandate and go full bore.

Conservatives for 50 years: please please just slow down (while we just freely vote GOP)

If you don't collectively impose costs on them they have no incentive to rock the boat. All of you "lesser of two evils" types just ensure nothing will ever change. Ever.

step one if it happens - make laws to prohibit infringements of constitutional freedoms (ie correct the Moloch speech of Democrats)

step 2 - get elections straight and uncheatable. This is too easily done to let it fester

It wouldn't be wise to impeach him.

Biden is hanging himself. Let him do it.

They can investigate his corruption though.

There is no reason to.

1) You get Harris

2) Joe is useless without both houses.

3) It would only serve to fire up the Dems in 2024.

Now if they only take the House then you do it to expose the truth.

I agree. Going immediate vengeance would be a poor strategy.

HOWEVER Republicans are notorious for shitting the bed and trying to play nice. Hate the Dems but they galvanize

I mean I agree with you. But that's what the primaries are for. Republicans don't show up for primaries, and the establishment cleans house. Republican voters have no one to blame but themselves.

I've been active in politics for the last few years, and have seen first hand the problems within the Republican party and the major hurdles to change it. The biggest being, the lazy arse people who don't seem to care all that much.

The meek, mild, respectful politician willing to cross the aisle is an antiquated idea. They’re not gaining any votes making soft comments like that.

Y’all the GOP taking congress isn’t going to get legislation passed and signed or put Trump back in the WH.

They will however be able to block more stupidity and hold the line in case any SC justices step down. That’s important.

Temper your expectations here and understand that even if they removed Joe Biden we’d just get Kamala Harris and be no better off than we are now.

Don't impeach, let them stew in the mess they created. The next 2 years is about stopping the bleeding. Keep Joe upright, but send his son up the river. It's all about 2024. Impeaching Joe does nothing, it just gives Democrats something to lie about.

There needs to be a national effort to get these cowards out of office. Especially him.

Meh this is a cop out to the real problem. I've been on the ground and in the action for the last few years. I know what I see, and I'm telling you it's the people who are the problem. Everyone wants to blame the politicians, but they are just enabled by lazy people. Republican voters either don't participate in primaries or they do and lazily just vote for whoever the incumbent is. If it's a local race, they will vote for someone if they went to the same high school or they know their aunt or something.

Republicans are about to win. You know who is about to lose? The party that impeached a president for political purposes knowing they didn't have the votes to convict.

Impeach Biden day one and even if you convict you have that and Kamala to live with for 2 years. What are you getting done with that woman's righteous indignation ruling the narrative?

Playing nice now won’t do shite when the Democrats want to use it again for political purposes in the future.

No. They are bought, blackmailed, or both when it comes to DC level elections.
