Black slave gatherers in Africa didn't round up other black people to sell into slavery because they hated black people.. it was because they had the power to do so.

They saw a market and they took advantage of it by gathering and selling their countrymen that had no power.

Black slave owners didn't own black slaves because they hated black people.. they owned black slaves because they had the power to do so.

Same thing is applied to white slave owners.

Even today. In other countries, those with power buy and sell those with no power. Look at libya.

It's not race related. It's power related.

I don't understand how this wasn't mentioned before. You are correct about it originally being about power. That soon changed when laws were passed to limit race mixing.

So why wouldn't they want to mix. Because you wouldn't be able to look at people and tell the difference.

If you look at the new world it was a issue in British colonies that practice hyperdecent vs hypodecent

racism - a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human racial groups determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to dominate others or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others.

Explain all the people living in North Korean slavery. The N Koreans are even sending slavery labor abroad. India has a huge number of people in slavery.

My family was brought over from Ireland as slaves, difference between my family and people like you is that we don’t use our past hardships as a crutch to consistently claim a victim mentality. Here’s some advice for you, grow up and stop blaming your problems on others and on the past.

Unless they were criminals, they were indentured servants.

The difference being servitude by choice in exchange for debt forgiveness, as opposed to permanent enslavement by capture.

Granted, in certain instances involving unscrupulous "owners", period of indentured debt was dramatically extended creating defacto slaves. But such instances were exception rather than rule.
