Poliboard history lesson: Republicans were angelic lovers of the negro, tirelessly fighting those evil negro hating democrats. The democrats were evil, Dixie loving racists who loved nothing more than buck breaking slaves in the town square.
The democrats who aren't racist anymore became republicans (who are not racist), and the democrats who are still racist (gotta keep them negros on the plantation... Look what they done to Kanye!) vote straight Democrat.

Amazingly unconvincing, ineffective meme that simply will not die. Republicans will keep beating this drum, despite the fact that it accepts literally every leftist premise and has not been an effective political tool for that very reason. We are literally at the point where homosexual child predators read books to children at public libraries, and the hill that the right wing wants to die on is that "Democrats r the real racists, no seriously the Klan was are be democrats look at this picture."

I am told that JBE’s grandfather also a politician was a Kluker and he had a relative that was a confederate officer and one of the largest slave owners in the Florida parishes.
The whites that remained democrats through the sixties and seventies had to sweep their family history under the rug quickly and throw lots of money at black preachers to keep their power.
