Why does this phrase make me want to never get it? I'm not anti vax, I'll likely get it when it fits my schedule, but there is something in me that bristles every time I hear somebody say it.

Maybe it's because I'm getting older and I don't appreciate being told what to do anymore?

Or maybe it's more that as I get older, I don't exactly trust the majority of people. Anything that the hivemind is so universally behind causes me to be wary.

To be clear; I don't believe the conspiracy theories, I'm not that guy, but I'm also not the guy that automatically jumps when the majority says jump.

Maybe I'm just a contrarian? Anyone else out there like me?

Yep, I know what you mean. I haven’t decided yet whether to get the vaccine or not, but my dad is pressuring me about it just about every day and I think it’s making me resist the idea.

Why get the vaccine now if you haven’t gotten it already?

I had Covid, so I have the antibodies and am therefore vaccinated.

This made me chuckle a bit since it's probably all of five minutes to get at about 50,000 locations. How busy are you?

It’s pretty much a nicer way of saying “Pi$$ off and mind your own business.”

You trust your Dad. It's this fricking evil government I do not trust. I'd rather take my chance against Mr Covid.

I got the 2 shot Moderna. Just won't be getting a booster when they call for it, because you know that's coming.

I don't give a flying F if anyone else gets it. I made my choice, you make yours. That is what being a Free American is like.

These people whining about you needing a shot just need to STFU and worry about their own decisions.

Just saw a report on our local 10 o’clock news that the CDC released a statement this afternoon saying that everyone who has been vaccinated can expect to need a booster within the next year. No I don’t have a link, I was just trying to catch the weather and saw it in passing, but that’s not very surprising that a booster would be required. Except it technically wouldn’t be a booster as it’s not a vaccine, just messenger RNA for your body to produce a specific protein to prevent the spiked protein from invading your cellular wall.

I haven't gotten it yet.

I will not get it.

My reasons:

1 - Every person who pushes me to get it actually pushes me farther from getting it.

2 - Experimental, no idea long term effects, mRNA never before used/approved in humans.

3 - 99.7% survival rate, why risk an untested vaccine?

4 - Pfizer, Moderna, JnJ none of them can be held liable if there are damaging effects to getting it. Why not? Why are they protected?

5 - Too many reports of people getting, spreading, COVID after vaccination

6 - Too many reports of reproductive dangers, fears..Main stream media WILL hide this news, they have lied to, manipulated and persuaded Americans for some time now.

7 - They are pushing it too hard, something is wrong. If it made sense to get it and was totally safe there would be no need to incentivize it..no need for million dollar giveaways, free beer, free tickets to sporting events, etc.

8 - I should be able to make an informed decision about my choice to get it or not and I should be able to do that without being judged for it. There is ZERO proof that me not getting it will contribute in any meaningful way to making this pandemic worse. Hell its already over.

9 - frick that, frick you.

That’s not how it works.

The mRNA creates a spike protein which you’re body reacts to creating antibodies and an immune response.

It can put you down for a few days after each shot. It isn’t like the only time it costs is the 30 minutes it takes to get the vaccine. I’m 40 and The vaccine shots put me down longer than the majority of my friends who had COVID.

This is an RNA vax, first time EVER used in the history of vaccines. It literally introduces changes to the messaging of your rna/dna. 8 weeks of human trials before giving it to the masses without knowing long term side effects.

COVID is a cold. Do you really need a vaccine for it? Aren't you curious why they are spending billions of dollars trying to brainwash people into thinking they need it?
