That makes no sense.

Ummm... Huh?

You're correct and that will change as states loosen up laws to protect themselves from SCOTUS.

What is the source of the quote from the OP?

No it won’t. The pro life movement is winning.

I'm a huge proponent of mental health reform and awareness but we all know all these women have to do is utter the word depression or anxiety and bam, dead baby

As uninsured rates go back up and state laws loosen up the wins will go away. 5 years from now that'll be realized

It appears so. It truly boggles the mind. We want to prevent the killing of unborn babies and are labeled "radical". Go figure.

You should spend some time reading Antonio moss’ posts on the subject. He’s an actual lawyer with knowledge of the governing con law. The law of the land per Sct decisions allows restrictions except ing the case of life or HEALTH of the mother. The state of NY was subject to that law. All the state did was change its laws to reflect fed law and preserve that law in the unlikely event roe v wade is overturned.

This is the radical pro lifers fault. NY wouldnt be overreacting if SCOTUS and other courts are being filled with activist right wing judges. Trumps election and his appts will indirectly result in more abortions.
Impressive

And allow “licensed heathcare practictioners” to perform the procedure.
It’s my understanding that there are no federal “abortion laws”. They set a minimum that states must allow and leave it to the states. I think you are mischaracterizing RvW as it wasn’t really about abortion but was a “right to privacy” issue.

I wonder how many babies had their brains sucked out by evil fricks just in the time it took to read that?

Also removed criminal penalties for those performing such abortions if I recall correctly.

Where did this excerpt come from?

Subsequent case law allowed state limitations but not if the woman’s life or health were in danger. The only lie is the OP.
Posted on 1/24/19 at 10:17 pm to HailHailtoMichigan!

The obvious reason is to broaden the reasoning. “Health” is purposely subjective and in fact was defined in Doe v Bolton to mean “all factors — physical, emotional, psychological, familial, and the woman’s age — relevant to the wellbeing of the patient.“
Read: any reason. ANY REASON. So, to the leftists blabbering about how is pro-lifers are lying or exaggerating the implications of the bill—that it is meant to legalize abortion on demand thru all 9 months—you’re not going to win this fight. It’s infanticide & nothing less.
You shouldn't post unless you have some idea what you're talking about.
The New York law that was being replaced was passed 3 months before Roe v Wade was decided. It only had life of the mother, as you noted. Roe v Wade expanded the allowable exceptions to life and health of the mother.
Since there is some likelihood that the recently reconstituted Supreme Court may diddle with Roe v Wade, New York wanted to upgrade its law to conform to Roe v Wade in case that happened.
