I don't understand how the defense can be so chummy with the prosecutor if they are trying railroad this kid.

Gotcha. I don’t how the judge can’t call it a mistrial and start ethics inquiry concerning the actions of the DA. Seems blatant to me.
It just doesn’t work like that. I work with video files every day.
It’s also a blatant lie to tell the jury there’s no such thing as lefty/righty handed guns. Especially rifles. No freakin way Kyle slotted that AR in his left shoulder with the cartridge ejector 2 inches in front of his face and the safety switch on the opposite side of his trigger hand. Not to mention the gun strap would have been backwards so would have had to literally stretch across Kyle’s face to even get the stock on his left shoulder, but then it would have been so tight he couldn’t raise the barrel up.
It’s disappointing that the defense didn’t illustrate this and hammer home the obnoxious logistics of it all. For Christ sake, the prosecutions entire case depends on Kyle supposedly pointing his rifle at Zeminski and provoking Rosenbaum. The defense could have obliterated all of that with just showing how beyond absurd it would have been for Kyle to try and point the AR from his left shoulder.
And they also should have gotten an expert in there to destroy the doctored video. Especially if they figured out they were given a compressed version. Any video editing expert could have confirmed it could only have been consciously compressed on purpose and not possibly an accident. Easily proven evidence tampering and clear attempt to defraud the defenses discovery.
