Japan probably has a good argument for our best ally

Weird…. Are you saying that treating your enemy in an absolutely horrible way, murdering hundreds of thousands of innocents to completely break the will of the people and bring them into modernity works?

No. I'm just merely stating that in 2026 Japan is likely a better ally than Israel. Israel is more of a liability at this point.

And they might find out the hard way that it's not a good thing long term to be a liability and not a true ally. Their interests in the region diverge far from our own.

What did more for Japan was the 'Reverse Course' policy than the US aiming to specifically turn Japan into an ally. Without the presence of the USSR, things might have been different. And while Iran might be the best potential country in the region to do that sort of measure, our nation-building efforts in similar regions recently, with similar religious and ethnic demographics, straight up has been a failure. There is no political will for an invasion nor an occupation in a country which is 5 or 6 times bigger than Japan.

Public opinion is correctly low on Israel but they aren’t cooked because they have bought pretty much every politician we have.

They’re one of our greatest allies because we absolutely destroyed their militarist ways and broke the back of the government and the will of the people.

We did this though horrible means that your ilk would call our soldiers baby killers and criminals.

Horrible people deserve horrible treatment to break them of their horrible beliefs. If they don’t change, they die. Either option is acceptable.

Victory was either going to happen quickly or not at all. Trump was duped into thinking a quick victory was likely. That has not materialized. So here we are trying to negotiate some sort of peace deal.

Cooked in terms of American support? If so, congratulations for a prediction that was fairly obvious at that time. The left had completely turned against Israel and the right had fractured in support of them.

You need to get out and touch grass. Maybe take a break from focusing on shite you have no power or control over. You're overly obsessive with everything Trump. Go outside man, life is actually pretty great here in the US of A.

To achieve the goals in place would have required a massive coalition of support and the backing of the American people and Congress in support of the war effort. This was never going to be done through some quick operation.

Which is why it was extremely foolish to start it in the first place

If we don’t have the political will it will be a shame, because the opportunity is there. Sometimes a politician has to sacrifice himself to do what is best in the long run. I wish Trump would do that, but it is probably not in his makeup.

I have a great life. These discussions are more of a hobby for me.

One can hope, but probably not. We'll continue propping them up.

He’s the most openly pro terrorist on the board. His wet dream is the annihilation of joos. Don’t take him seriously, he wants the U.S. to burn as well.

I get it and I used to be that way, but there's no way these discussions don't affect your personal life in a mental capacity.

Until we decide it's not in our interests to. A smaller nation is always taking a risky bet by being an influential ally to a much greater nation.

Buddy, we didn't even do that in Japan. You have a really warped idea of what went during the occupation. We did beat them militarily, just as we beat Iraq and Afghanistan, and then failed thoroughly in nation-building in the latter two instances, because according to you, of leftist emotional thought processes (or some nebulous concept which no doubt encapsulates everything dislike about the world)? Again, what in the world are you talking about? In Iraq, we went father than we did in Japan, as the government of Japan was integrated into the country while in Iraq we went through a nonsensical process of 'De-Baathificiation' which ended up helping the Iraqi insurgency more than it helped the nation-building process.

There is no doubt Japan is a much better ally than Israel and has been for a long time. Israel has attacked our navy and done a lot worse. Japan isn’t buying our whore politicians
