I think the issue is invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.

Why? Congress passed this law. It's the Executive Branch's duty to use it.

The president. As outlined in the Alien enemies Act passed into law.

That's what we have here in TdA.

IDK, but feel free to start a thread on it and it might get fleshed out.

Like boosie said the other day, imagine if President AOC is making these decisions. That's how everyone here should be looking at it.

The Trump DOJ claims they did not ignore the judge FWIW.

Of course they did; they may be in front of a judge explaining themselves and they need a good legal explanation. High-fiving on the WH lawn and saying "Hell yeah, frick these judges" probably isn't the best response.

I don't know, legally, if this was the best issue to push or not but it needed to happen and it will probably need to happen again.

These were rhetorical questions. Your inability to discern is in a league of its own.

Yesterday when testing the limits of the "there is no judicial review of these executive decisions" I got crickets in response when it got uncomfortable.

I'll ask it here, though. If we have no judicial oversight/recourse, what happens when a citizen is labeled a "terrorist" and then put on a plane in the middle of the night and shipped off to a Central American jail? Do they just have to grin and bear it?

I think only one person answers and it was "impeachment"

So there's no common thread to the folks who ended up on the tarmac in jumpsuits and escorted into CECOT?

See the link I posted. The admin can't articulate any information on SOME of them tying them to any crime, let alone being a "terrorist"

Give me a president who just grabbed a plane full of people and sent them to a third country

A) he sent them back to their home

B) Joe Biden grabbed many planes full of people and sent them to third world cities like Chicago and Baltimore.

If AOC were to win an election for president she would be within her bounds. I would hate if she did have that power but elections have consequences.

Shall we bump threads about "Biden forgiving student loans"? and the corresponding incorrect melts about "ignoring court orders"?

People were clearly not OK with Biden acting in an avatar of this manner (when he wasn't even actually violating orders or acting as a "Unified Executive")

There are downsides to power being abused no matter who does it. It's bad when the president does it, it's bad when judges do it.

More scapegoating from Trump. No one wants him going unchecked, not even the people that think they do.

Please keep it up!! See how deep you can push your dumbass party toward this bullshite. It's amazing and hilarious to watch. You think this dumbfrick stuff actually helps your party? How stupid are you?

But yeah, please keep doing these things. You guys are too dumb to see it's doing exactly what people on my side want it to. Showing everyone how fricking stupid and pathetic the democratic party is. Your party, your politicians, your media, your ideas, your memes, your songs, your speeches, your protests, everything about your party is a complete fricking failure.

Every normal brain voter in the country is watching.
