Yeah, a confession obtained via waterboarding isn’t going to be admissible. I assume they’ve got enough other stuff on him. Honestly I don’t understand why this pos is still with us.

This judge, Michael Schrama, needs looked into. What’s the point of delaying it another 2 years? There is no more evidence to gather.

It's been convened since 2008:
"If by “convened” you mean when the KSM military commission formally began proceedings, there are a couple of dates worth distinguishing:
May 9, 2008: The Convening Authority formally referred the charges to trial by military commission. This is roughly the military-commission equivalent of an indictment being returned.
June 5, 2008: The commission actually convened and arraigned Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and the other four 9/11 defendants at Guantánamo. This was the first substantive court proceeding in the case.
July 9–10, 2008: The commission held its next sessions, followed by additional sessions in September and December.
So, June 5, 2008 is the key date if you're asking when KSM's military tribunal actually convened in court."

There are many horrible liberals. Some are judges.
They have been in no way involved in the trial of KSM who has been in military custody since 2003.
US intelligence decided it was worth torturing KSM to try to get actionable information to protect Americans. Probably a good call, but it was always going to screw up a conviction. So, the government has been in no hurry to try KSM.
The USAF Lt. Colonel who is presiding over the military tribunal AT GITMO (not some NYC or DC federal court) is not some squishy liberal.

He's a career military judge. Lt. Colonel in the Air Force. His ruling of inadmissibility is exactly like that of a Colonel who ruled in another military tribunal recently. No evidence of him being pro-defense.
I agree though. You would think this would be ready to try. It's weird that it took that long to boot the coerced confession. Maybe Col. Schrama is allowing time for the prosecution's appeal of his ruling to exclude the confession.
