Pick up a dictionary from 1970 and look up words online. You'll find very different meanings of words. It's much harder to change books vs the internet. People are trying to rewrite history so it should be persevered when possible.
How about preserving the grooming smut in your library, rather than having it available to children? Funny how none of these folks fight or fought for hetero sex to be promoted to children, huh?

So they should stock Penthouse and Cum Magazine for the kids?

WTF are you talking about. I made a reference to dictionaries. Is that considered smut now?

You want to know what’s not smut?

You made reference to "banning" books as a slippery slope that shouldn't be gone down. Maybe so, but smut shouldn't be made available to children.

They always look this like this.

Should books about the civil war be banned? Some Gen Zs view it as hurtful and may be their version of smut.
Some of you are so short sighted you can't see what will be next. Don't be surprised if civil war books are not carried in libraries in the future.

Look, I may not like the subject matter of some of these books (the farting snowman does sound intriguing, though), but I don't go for book bans. It's just too Joseph Goebbels for my liking.

I'm not sure you know what a book ban is.

Are the Civil War books inappropriate for minor children? Certainly there are WW2 books relating to the Holocaust that are inappropriate for children. If little Suzie second grader is perfectly fine having anal sex illustrated and explained to her, she should be fine seeing pictures of emaciated bodies stacked up like cordwood, right?
Just for clarity, my wife is a librarian. She is now approaching 20% of the books she is sent for book fairs and the like normalizing and/or promoting deviant/abnormal lifestyles. It's not an accident. Under the guise of being inclusive, our kids are being steadfastly indoctrinated into acceptance, tolerance and even promotion of deviant lifestyles. I am witness to it.

How does a Federal Judge have any authority over a local library?

The same crowd calls the FL law against teaching kindergarten kids the gay and tranny lifestyle the "Don't say gay" law.

How does a federal court have jurisdiction over this?

This is how leftists work. They claim removing books that are pornographic or age inappropriate as a violation of the first amendment. Then turn around in the same breath scream anything conservative in nature as bigoted or hate speech and should be banned.

According to Gen Z there is very high probability they are. You are viewing this through your eyes and not the eyes of the populous.
If certain books are voted on are not carried then so be it but we are talking about a public space. If it is that big on an issue for you and your kid then why not stop them from going?

I'm not arguing that there isn't a bigger problem but banning books is just putting your finger in a hole in a dam.

Said every parent ever. This has been said about rock-n-roll, tv, etc.
