I actually read the article and do not disagree with the court that original bail was based on alcohol and drugs. Absent those findings, it is an unfortunate traffic accident with fatalities.
The company will be on the hook for payment at least up to available policy limits and maybe more. The driver is uncollectible and it is only a civil case other than losing the license
