quote:

A federal judge late Tuesday indefinitely banned President Joe Biden's administration from enforcing a 100-day moratorium on most deportations.

U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton issued a preliminary injunction sought by Texas, which argued the moratorium violated federal law and risked imposing additional costs on the state.

quote:

The legal fight over the deportation ban is an early sign of Republican opposition to Biden’s immigration priorities, just as Democrats and pro-immigrant legal groups fought Trump’s proposals. Almost four years before Tipton’s order, Trump signed a ban on travel from seven countries with predominantly Muslim populations that caused chaos at airports. Legal groups successfully sued to stop implementation of the ban.

It was not immediately clear if the Biden administration will appeal Tipton's latest ruling. The Justice Department did not seek a stay of Tipton's earlier temporary restraining order.

It's crazy that just 15 to 20 years ago both sides were on the same page that illegal aliens needed to go back.

Like Trump, it would appear that Biden is trying to avoid the statutory requirements for his various pronouncements. Like Trump, he should be taken to task for it.

Which of Trump's EOs were particularly troublesome?

Liberals fought them all, especially the EOs that merely reversed Obama's EOs, lol.

Dems looked at the overwhelming win by Trump and know they needed to import millions of votes, somewhere

and Obama. EOs are a terrible way to govern and not what the founding fathers envisioned. There is no continuity in policy this way and they don't reflect even a partisan consensus much less a bipartisan consensus. These orders should instead be laws and go through debate before votes in the House and Senate. If a President can't sell Congress on a law, then that is on him.

I would have been far less surprised with a ruling of "No Standing"

Why would they stop? The gravy train is too good. GumboPot said the state dept. pays NGOs 34k per adult and 54k per child to process migrants.

I criticized Trump for not following the rules. Now I am criticizing Biden for not following the rules.

It is called "consistency."

I understand that you have little familiarity with the concept.
