Though I didn’t always agree with him, he seemed to try to be honest and wasn’t a swamp creature. I really wanted him to be president in ‘08 but he was pressured into getting an awful VP to run with.

I’m guessing that they stopped the treatment knowing that this was coming. It will be strange to not have such a fixture in politics for 30+ years around, regardless of where one stood in regards to him.

He's a politician that passed away. That's all.

I'm just guessing here, but when they say 'treatment' I think they meant when he codes. I think that as those things progress they push on the brain stem and other parts and people seize, stop breathing etc. They just announced stopping treatment and a day later he's gone - JMO.

Perfect saying for John McCain:

You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

McCain was never a hero, but yeah, point taken.

He put his life on the line for his country, that's good enough for me.

Obama's post on social media about McCain's passing

quote:

"John McCain and i were members of different generations, came from completely different backgrounds, and competed at the highest level of politics. But we shared, for all our differences, a fidelity to something higher-the ideals for which generations of Americans and immigrants alike have fought, marched, and sacrificed. We saw our political battles, even, as a privilege, something noble, an opportunity to serve as stewards of those high ideals at home, and to advance them around the world. We saw this country as a place where anything is possible - and citizenship as our patriotic obligation to ensure it forever remains that way.

"Few of us have been tested the way John once was, or required to show the kind of courage that he did. But all of us can aspire to the courage to put the greater good above our own. At John's best, he showed us what that means. And for that, we are all in his debt. Michelle and I send our heartfelt condolences to Cindy and their family."

Damn they whacked your thread.

McCain may have died weeks ago and been buried at one of those vortex sites. Anyone that's been to Sedona knows it would be easy to do something like this. Small town, dark roads leading in and out of the Red Rocks area. Lot of very nice houses with gated yards etc.

Sedona is a beautiful place. There's nothing quite like the SW United States.
