It's been 35 years but I don't remember a goat. Looks like I would remember that though .... Oh, wait, I remember riding a goat .... that was in a rodeo though. Does that count?

Maybe it was the rodeo or FFA after all LOL !

I wonder when the pope will excommunicate this clown. He is at odds with most Catholic teachings.

Im no expert, but arent these mason clubs kind of like fraternities? They are mostly segregated, with majority white mason groups and majority black mason groups?

A simple google search will provide any clarity you need on the matter.
I've done that. It's filled with misinformation from uneducated outsiders and disgruntled ex-members. They get top billing. You have to dig deep to find the facts and you have to have a close friend that knows the organization. It is intentionally difficult. Only in recent years have we been given the okay to talk more openly.

I hope you folks know we have stolen the thread. The OP is about Prince Hall Masons. Maybe you want to bust their balls if you aren't afraid of being called racist.

Freemasonry is the oldest and largest Fraternity in the world.

While what you are asking about segregation is still kind of true, particularly in the South. it is becoming less and less so as time goes on.

It differs by state now. Each state makes it's own rules.

Prince Hall Masons seem to have a stronger organization right now.

Maybe he did, but Catholics are still not supposed to be Masons. That hasn’t changed.

That would be my point. The Pope went along with his lies and that has not been corrected to this very day.

I wonder if it is okay for Catholics to be Prince Hall Masons. Mr. Biden may be in hot water now.

Freemasonry is incompatible with the Catholic faith. Freemasonry teaches a naturalistic religion that espouses indifferentism, the position that a person can be equally pleasing to God while remaining in any religion. Masonry is a parallel religion to Christianity. The New Catholic Encyclopedia states, “Freemasonry displays all the elements of religion, and as such it becomes a rival to the religion of the Gospel. It includes temples and altars, prayers, a moral code, worship, vestments, feast days, the promise of reward or punishment in the afterlife, a hierarchy, and initiation and burial rites.” Masonry is also a secret society. Its initiates subscribe to secret blood oaths that are contrary to Christian morals. The prospective Mason swears that if he ever reveals the secrets of Masonry – secrets which are trivial and already well-known – he wills to be subject to self-mutilation or to gruesome execution. (Most Masons, admittedly, never would dream of carrying out these punishments on themselves or on an errant member). Historically, one of Masonry’s primary objectives has been the destruction of the Catholic Church; this is especially true of Freemasonry as it has existed in certain European countries. In the United States, Freemasonry is often little more than a social club, but it still espouses a naturalistic religion that contradicts orthodox Christianity. The Church has imposed the penalty of excommunication on Catholics who become Freemasons. The penalty of excommunication for joining the Masonic Lodge was explicit in the 1917 code of canon law (canon 2335), and it is implicit in the 1983 code (canon 1374). The Church has more recently reaffirmed its stand on Freemasonry and membership of Catholics in the Masons. In a November 8, 2023, doctrinal note, the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith reaffirmed the Church’s position in response to a request from a Filipino bishop. .

I see stuff like that and roll myeyes.. I know a few Masons, all good men.

I'm there with you. The Masons I've known in my lifetime were devout Christians and upstanding, devoted men of the community. Some of the best people I've ever known. When I was an early teen and doing some really, REALLY dumb shite during a quite tumultuous period in my development, a Mason made himself a presence in my life and helped me overcome some difficulties.

The rumors combined with their history and their esoteric existence and nature, only further add to the speculation.

So they still govern based on known lies. Not my problem.

Might be a problem for Brother Joe, the Catholic, since becoming a Mason.

I'll toot my own horn. Saved at 15, 3 yrs. in military, married to same woman, a Catholic, since '70, 3 successful kids, 25 year vol. fireman, 34 years at same job getting up to supervisor level.

Among other organizations I've been a MM for 35 years. I'm the son of a mason and grandson of a MM as well as a nephew of MMs.

But that's just me. I'm not a Prince Hall Mason like Bro. President Biden.
