I still think that Vance was a less than stellar choice for VP but he is killing it lately.

The fact the memes upset the media and other dems is such a bonus

I loved his response to CNN when they asked him if he wanted to apologize:

No.

Republican politicians with balls, finally.

It was getting lonely for MTG.

Based off what?

The man has been slaying the media so bad over and over.

He is playing to the base. Outside of a Trump candidacy that's fine but Trump has the base wrapped up. I think a VP should've been chosen who could expand the base - like Youngkin or Scott (Scott, is someone I don't like but has been an ardent Trump supporter since day 1 and would slightly expand the base).

JD Vance was the terms required for the technocrats to support Trump, which he desperately needed

Spending even a second more contemplating whether or not he was a good choice is stupid and irrelevant

I will be voting for Trump at 6 AM on voting day. I can do that and still think Trump could've picked a better VP for his electoral chances. This is not some purple/moderate board. 98% of people here are voting for Trump so if I can't voice a criticism of him here where can I?

What I mean is that the positives that come from Vance are way larger than you realize or at least are articulating

That's fair, and I disagree, even though I am closer to Vance in my politics than Trump. Typically the VP either moderates the candidate or he plays to the base. Vance plays to the base but Trump doesn't need that.

With that said, as I said in my first reply to the OP, I love his response here. Suburban white women love their pets like children so if you can paint Kamala as supporting pet eating from immigrants then I support it.

I think you are mistaken and he is helping to expand the base.

IMO Trump had to pick a VP that the powers that be wanted less than him. To save his life for the next 4 years.

In all honesty, how? Who is Vance bringing in that Trump didn't already have on his side? I'd like to be wrong and again I will say that I have come around on Vance as a VP choice.

How many vice presidents in history deliver new voters to the presidential candidate. It has been proven over time the voters vote for the top of the ticket. After Pence, trump realized how important it is to have a vice president you can trust that has similar viewpoints and vision as well as having a 2nd in charge that can continue the MAGA movement/policies.
