A special shout out to all the Moralist Republicans who through sheer moral vanity, made this possible . Here is what you did . You traded a perceived immoral man ( oh no he paid for sex oh no) who would have governed morally, for a perceived moral man ( Muh Honor Code) who governs immorally . Well done. Pat yourself on the back .

Gotta be honest. I never wanted to leave Louisiana after graduating from LSU. Seeing what you guys have in Edwards makes me so thankful I left in 2013. Rick Scott baby

Jbe sucks m, but let’s be honest the mess isn’t his fault. His unwillingness to make cuts is his fault.

Honestly I feel like we need a mix of cuts and some tax renewals.

Look forward to him replacing Ben Nelson as Florida's junior senator.

All of the fricking idiot bible thumping Republicans who voted JBE should be sent to camps. To give the keys to a Democrat because some dude had an affair is absolutely absurd. Get the frick over yourself.

Unfortunately, I do not have any faith that the fricking dipshits who put him in the first time won't do it again.

While I realize some Republicans voted for Edwards, La. is primarily s Democratic state.

2016 showed 1.3 million Dems to just 859K Republicans.

Vitter failed to get conservative Dems to vote for him too.

I wouldn't go that far but I still agree with the sentiment.

The absolute bottom floor for a democrat in a statewide election in Louisiana is anywhere between 38 and 44% and all they have to do is get just enough white voters, like 25-30%, when they have nearly the entire black population of Louisiana in their corner.

The recent election for state treasurer is a good example of this. The democrat candidate is stuck in a wheelchair, didn't really campaign at all and did not have the support of the state DNC and still got like 45% of the vote against the republican candidate.

Sure all the GOP has to do to beat JBE is just simply get out the base but the fact remains that the GOP candidate has to bring his A+ game and run disciplined and competent campaign that leaves nothing on the field.

The Republican way is to operate government on credit. Why doesn’t this work for Louisiana?

Are not really conservatives or even republicans. They deserve JBE doing everything he can to steal money from them because they voted for that.

That suggests he fooled people. He didn't. We all knew he was a trashy democrat. Some short-sighted morons voted for him only because Vitter used hookers.
