We are pleased that in the decisions issued today, the Supreme Court has temporarily blocked both Congress and New York prosecutors from obtaining the President’s financial records. We will now proceed to raise additional Constitutional and legal issues in the lower courts.

Thank God for Jay Sekulow. I read the first page of the other thread and was confused as hell. Some of you were acting like the enemies of Trump had won.

It got remanded to the lower courts. Jay's looking for that silver lining. They argued the president was absolutely immune. They lost.

As I said in that thread, they only raised one argument- heightened presidential subpoena standard. Motion to quash #2 on deck. They will not be released until those grounds are heard.

Seems like this tax ruling had Dems rejoicing then going “uh, wait what?” within minutes

Pelosi was real quick with her little press conference. Tells you all you need to know.

Sort of like that night that Maddow had Trumps "tax returns".

"When we get back, ladies and gentlemen, we have them. We have Trumps tax returns."

Spent all of 30 seconds on getting slapped down by the USSC, dentures flapping, and moved right over to unemployment numbers.

Essentially Trump made the opposition waste time and money chasing one pawn-like objection while they hold an ace card to play if needed (mixed metaphor I know). It's the old "tie them up in paperwork" ploy and Trump is playing it well as he's been there before.

That was a beautiful moment in time. I only tuned in to Maddow's show that night because somebody here had given us a head's up.

Tuned in, and that weird-looking boy held up 2 pages of a Trump tax return from some year. The idiot proceeded to tell us that Trump paid $40 million in taxes on approximately $160 million in taxable income. A 25% tax rate!

The idiot didn't even have enough sense to realize that she had effective just cut a pro-Trump campaign ad.

The SCOTUS blog main headline read as a loss for Trump, yet dems on social media are complaining.

This from Rantingly may explain it best for now.

Obviously there was/is a tremendous amount of misunderstanding concerning this case, including myself.

She probably was expecting to be able to do a victory lap today.
