James clapper stated on CNN you cannot buy the will to fight for the Afghans, no matter how much money and military support we provide. So this validates Trumps' American isolationism and focus on our own exceptionalism at home instead of jumping into these internecine wars on foreign soil. Once again Trump was far ahead of the curve.

America first isn't isolationism. It's a realization that our own citizens are suffering a great deal, and instead of focusing inward, our establishment focuses outward.
Afghanistan needs to handle itself. Us keeping that country in a perpetual state of war is fricked up.

This may be the seminal moment for Biden.
Great leaders like Trump define the moment. Biden les the moment define himself and not in flattering ways.
The only moment that Trump was unable to define was the pandemic , and even then he gave it a heroic effort that would have broken any other individual . With the media, academia, social media and the glitterati against him it still likely took a concerted nefarious scandal to defeat him.

Imagine how much 2 trillion dollars would have gotten us had it been spent at home here in the U.S. on infrastructure.
