Well. I love political talk but frankly, I find the current common subjects a shade boring. I'm certain that will change soon enough because it always does. But I just sort of feel like everything that can be said about Epstein has been. And I kind of feel like the whole Russia and Obama thing is so obvious that I would just be repeating what everybody else is saying

Of all the topics you could discuss, this is again the one you chose to bring up.

Well frankly I bumped into the video and remembered the incident from when it was first published. It was kind of happenstance. Regardless don't worry. I am certain that at some point you will see me posting a hundred times in some other thread at least 20% longer than I should

Also keep in mind. I obviously could go to some liberal board and have a bunch of people blow smoke up my arse about how terrible police are and theoretically agree with my posts. But nobody is going to fix policing in this country until conservative start to see the problem also. So as a conservative myself who has argued multiple conservative viewpoints on this very board my words are far less wasted here than preaching to some idiot amen chorus. If I was just looking for validation though I suppose I could run to the Democratic Underground. I might end effectively lobotomized but I could do it

Did you mean to use the term pre-textual? Because pre-textual stops are legal.

IF the actual pretext is a violation. Which, frankly, is a shite decision by the court but still.

"No lights because of inclement weather" when IT IS NOT frickING RAINING ain't it.

The courts have NEVER ruled cops can pull you over for completely made up shite.

There needs to be a preset packet of documents that need to be presented to an officer. Once presented, there needs to be zero conversation expected from driver. Write him a ticket, or let him go.
Crack window, hand documents and politely say all information is included and accurate.

Why on earth does there need to be a conversation? Video is there and can be provided should you dispute the ticket.

Police can lawfully ask you to leave the vehicle during a traffic stop. As soon as he closed the door and refused they had the right to yank him out. He could have gotten out of the vehicle, refused to identify and then provided documents under threat of arrest. He would have received citations that would be dismissed and then would have had a federal lawsuit for rights violations against the officer/department/county. Driver is an idiot.

2 things.

1. This skips right over the fact the officer pulled the guy over for not having his lights on in inclement weather AND IT WASN"T RAINING!!!!! Come on

2. Ya know. There's no rule that says a cop has to get violent inside of 20 seconds.

I'm continually fascinated by how people like you treat these interactions as if we're talking about coequals in terms of responsibility. "Oh, if the driver had only been better.......blah blah blah". You always have higher expectations of the citizen than you do the fricking supposed professional who is an agent of the state and STARTED the interaction in the 1st place.

I appreciate your takes and your videos.

So many idiots on this forum claim to be conservative, yet they're too stupid to realize that conservatives do not support tyrannical govt. They believe if you exercise your right to remain silent, then "you're not complying with the wishes of the blue!!!"

They literally end up rooting for the overreaching big govt tyrannical cops, a leftist take.

I grew up respecting the police about 95 percent of the time. That's changed in the past ten years or so

Sovereign citizens are fricking morons. Alas, a lot of people think everyone who has an issue with police operating outside their legal authority are "sovereign citizens".

No. SCs are idiots who don't even really think the government has any authority to pass laws affecting them. They think they've found some weird loophole exempting themselves.

Having such low expectations for hoodrats and being alright with it is a huge, huge problem in American society right now.

There is absolutely zero reason to consider a police officer as anything special in terms of having authority over you unless they have a LEGAL REASON to.

People act like every thought that passes thru a cop's head equals a "lawful order" if they say it out loud. A police officer is just some dude no different than any other dude;

Alas, there are literally thousands of videos of NON "hoodrats" dealing with shite cops too.

Also, sorry. It's just fricking weird that you cannot distinguish between the expectations we should have of OUR HIRED AGENTS OF THE STATE versus random citizens.

the headlight thing is ridiculous, and none of the police cruisers had their headlights on either

the POS cop D Bowers (notice how the dept protects the cop's first name, but the "suspect"'s name is plastered all over the media - fricking cowards)

Bowers lied his arse off on saying McNeil "reached for a knife in the floorboard".

"Officer" Bowers is a fagot coward for throwing multiple sucker punches when McNeil couldn't fight back.

The POS police chief is a pathological lying demagogue, lecturing the media because he's used to getting his arse kissed.

I hope "Officer D Bowers" life is pure hell for the next ten years. I hope he's washing dishes at Burger King.

ETA: I hope the police chief's pompous arse is fired, and I hope the city of Jacksonville ends up paying millions in damages.
