Did not know that. Wasn't it one of the first magnet schools? I think the building is close to 100 years old. It was once a landmark

Yep. It’s a beautiful old Art Deco building that has just fallen into a state of disrepair like the rest of Jackson.

I haven’t seen a story. Not sure it’s going to be reported on legacy media. I bet Jackson Jambalaya will have something tomorrow on it.

Here’s a video of someone driving by the aftermath from a distance. It does not show the jump which is out there as well.

Just checked JJ and it's not there yet. Looked WLBT and they don't have on it on Breaking News yet.

Kingfish is probably working on getting a reaction from the city on the multiple 911 calls that went unanswered and lack of police response. Apparently she was out on the overpass for a while.

I don’t see the relevance in this situation. A 15 year old is dead. No matter why, the school failed her, the city failed her and society failed her.

You can hear what appears to be a classmate shouting for her not to do it but no one is making any real effort to stop her. Someone filmed it. Then went and uploaded it.

Same demographics as many African countries...and same quality of governance.

Murrah is right there on Woodrow Wilson. Bailey Magnet is further down on State Street. Murrah is the closer school to the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.

They probably bullied her into jumping.

Her parents had nothing to do with it.

I believe it goes back to the current mayor's dad saying he wanted it to be a New Africa. He died in office so he couldn't do it. Chokwa is working on it hard.

This is truly disgusting. We saw similar during the 2020 "mostly peaceful" terrorist riots. Towns, DAs, celebrities and politicians covering for the arsonists.
