Leave:

Afghanistan
Iraq
Syria
Yemen

Accomplish very little, next to nothing long term, 6,000+ American lives lost, no stability.

No more combat troops.

All loss of life as far as the region is concerned was senseless.

Stay:

Keep fighting for "freedom" and "nation building."

It’s not that simple. Some of these places if you pull out quickly, you leave a void. These things take time, Trump has been pulling us out of some of these places, I expect more in the coming years.

The problem we've seen with leaving is that the locals seem completely unable to govern themselves in a fashion which doesn't involve hard-line Islam running the show (or at least being able to fend off those types).

BUT... that means we either leave them to those types or we stay forever. If it comes down to a choice strictly between those two options, I opt for getting the frick out. Endless wars are the ultimate expression of futility as well as being a fast-track to financial ruin.

We don't even know who we're fighting.

We've increased troops in Yemen. In Saudi Arabia. Why?

On who and why?

We've been occupying these countries and killing tons of people all this time and your answer is to nuke them on the way out?

You cannot pull out too fast or you leave a vacuum .... especially if you telegraph it in advance with a time and date and give the bad guys time to mission plan to come in right behind you.

It has to be a strategic withdrawal and you have to be willing, and hopeful, to draw bad guys out in the process and lay waste to their asses in order to give you an chance to stick around awhile longer.

We need to get out of all of those places and honestly I would like to see us empty our bases in Germany as well.

Leave the ones in Italy and keep sharing in The UK and keep our bases in Saudia Arabia.

Refuse to get involved in Africa no matter what the NWO wants.

Move our German bases to Poland and elsewhere in Eastern Europe where our dollars and influence could really do some good.

We need to concentrate everything else on this hemisphere. Build more posts along the Mexican border and train train train.

We also need to continue to upgrade our AI forces and our remote controlled forces. I keep hearing great things about some new technology we have and more than is coming.

Troopless combat is the way of the future.

We also need to decide what we're going to do with North Korea. Trump will fix it during his second term.

Leave

Let them fight for their own freedom if they truly want it and if they even understand want it means.

Let them build their own nation. There aren't many success stories in recent years that came about as a result of seemingly endless U.S. involvement in a country or region.

Which is a pretty good reminder of why to not get involved in the first damn place

Only presence in those areas should be in Kurdish parts of Iraq and Syria.

Leave because we’re involved with states that will never have a good outcome. Also our involvement pisses people off.

Keep solid intelligence assets in these regions to ensure nothing is happening (ie Al Qaeda) that can hit us here.

If you go, you set a goal with a time limit. If you are unable to accomplish the goal within a reasonable amount of time, then you are OUT. The only exception would be all out war that can not stop until the enemy surrenders.
Terrorism will always be there. This is different than war.

Nation building is a lost cause always is.

However, if we leave a huge vacuum will occur and 10 years or less from now we will be fighting more and much worse off.

How about we take the gloves off and fight a war.

Whether you served or not should have minimal bearing on your opinion in this matter.

The unfortunate statistic is that the true "1%" are those who actually serve in the Armed Forces, as less than 1% of the U.S. Population actually serve. When you have that much of a disparity, it becomes harder and harder for those in the profession of arms to relate to those they serve.
