It’s still surprising to me that Al Gore didn’t run again after 2000

America loves a comeback story, and he had the sympathy factor of winning the popular vote but losing the election going for him. He could’ve taken down Kerry in 04 for the Dem nomination setting up a rematch with a vulnerable W.

He found his niche in ripping off climate change rubes

He’s Jimmy Swaggart for progressives

Yeah but usually when those types get that close to that much power they can’t help but try again.

He saw that the useful idiots of climate change would pay more than the Presidency of the United States of America..

It's much more lucrative to jet around the world complaining about climate change.

Like already referenced, Gore has pulled down millions selling global warming snake oil. Who needs the stress the presidency brings when you can mint money with little oversight and be one of the darlings of the left?

He'd have a tough time running against Bush

If you look at the rhetoric before the Bush/Gore election Bush governed closer to Gore's rhetoric than his own.

Bush was against nation building where Gore was in favor of it. After Iraqi Freedom what is Gore going to criticize him on? Doing exactly what Gore said he supported in 2000?

He thought the World was ending, so he cashed out, without the headache of having to relocate the US on the moon....

Run against Hillary? I'm pretty sure he knew what the consequences of that would be.

I would guess the reason he got divorced made him ineligible to run

Yes he could have run on his visionary Nobel prize winning predictions or his rock solid marriage.
Could have worked perhaps.

When he lost he went off the deep end for a while.
