That's why Johnson should bring Luna's expulsion motion up immediately. Get all the House Dems to explain why he can't be Governor, but can remain a Rep.

Why not just let Swalwell lose on his own? Doesn't it do more damage to the Party to drag a upcoming House Rep. through the mud who some have said may have even higher aspirations?
They're good with keeping secrets under wraps until they aren't. Why? Same with Al Franken. He was yeeted for 'jokes' and one silly photo. Image. Optics, nothing substantive.

Power is all that matters to them and they don't want to take the chance on losing the Governor's house to Steve Hilton (R). Because of the way their elections are run in CA, having more Dems i the field, they start cannibalizing the votes from each other.
Swalwell is disposable here. Between this, Fang Fang, and probably much much more that hasn't even come out, he was their mark. But once this is over, they'll pretend as it if never happened and prop him up for whatever role they need the useful idiot to be in.
