Again, if you went through US-XYZ Country relations one by one, my guess is that US-Israel wouldn't be in the top 15 most one-sided relationships.

It's just become a fashionable conspiracy theory to say that the Joos run 'Merca.

For example, we give billions to Jordan although they are in a position to do nothing more for us than remain relatively neutral in the conflicts of the region.

We give tens of billions to Pakistan even though they actively feed intel to our enemies, and we know it, and they harbor Taliban and terrorist leaders.

We've invested billions in conducting "counter-terror" operations partnering with Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger, and then they kicked the US military out and left all the equipment and weapons to forces hostile to the US.

We sent billions to Ethiopia while Abiy Ahmed waged a war in which he maintained robust diplomatic ties to both Russia and China, and almost certainly committed war crimes during the conflict.

That's six relationships we have off the top of my head that are more one-sided than US-Israel. People just don't know about them. In the context of all of our relationships, Israel-US doesn't raise any kind of red flag unless someone wants to see one IMO.

Almost certainly that's true, but as I have posted many times before, the fact that someone in government stands to benefit personally from an action doesn't mean the action isn't necessary or that it isn't the best course of action, even for Betty Homemaker or PFC Jones. Two things can be true at once.

The analogy I have posted before is suppose your doctor found a tumor and wanted to remove it. Or better yet, let's say he determined that you were borderline for needing a stent insertion, and he wanted to go ahead and do it now rather than wait for the the blockage to get worse in the next six months.

Does he benefit monetarily? Sure. So does the hospital and even the insurance company (that's a discussion for another day).

But do you also benefit? Yes.

Now, can an unscrupulous doctor tell you that you need a stent when you don't? Sure, and that kind of thing happens. And when you are talking about medicine, you can get 2nd or 3rd opinions to mitigate the risk of that, and you can't do that when you're talking about the US military. You also have the added bummer that the CIC knows classified information that you don't know and will never know about the situation.

So I get what you're saying.

But other than electing people you trust to the offices that decide these things and primarying them when they don't seem to act in the public's best interest, I don't know what else to do. I don't think the thing to do is oppose all military action (not saying you're doing that) because you can never be 100% sure whether you're getting a stent you need vs just making the next boat payment for your cardiologist.

"The system" is working just like it was designed to work. We're getting the government that we collectively voted for and deserve.

Iran has been begging for some American action for decades. This goes back to both democrat and republican presidents, who combined for both dumb deals and appeasement along with kicking the can down the road. Trump is the first US president to have had enough and the balls to say, "fine, watch this".

This is not just Israel's war, it's ours too, and it's about to be the entire middle east's war against Iran if they continue to attack neighboring countries.

Keep sticking to your guns, brutha. The truth stands on its own.
