We will need them in an eventual war with China, which is practically a guarantee at this point. We don't have the Brits, French, Germans to back us anymore.

Bibi has Trump's ear. So does Kushner and Witkof and if course everyone else in the administration. People high up in his administration cautioned him against this disaster. Bibi and certainly others within our own government convinced him to go for it. Trump is certainly influenced by other people. No president has ever acted without the consultation of countless people. If Trump could do things differently he definitely would. This is not going according to plan.

I don’t know, Trump’s hubris is such that he believes whatever he decides will succeed. I doubt anyone needed to convince him; he simply had an idea and ran with it. Everything we’ve seen from him over the years supports this pattern far more than the notion that someone else talked him into it.

Israel is and has always been a client state that literally sucks the life out of its benefactor countries. The British Empire was the first major supporter of the creation of Israel and Jewish immigration to Palestine, until they went bankrupt and were chased out of the Middle East entirely during the Arab Revolt. Then, in the 1940s, the Zionists shifted focus on lobbying our government and the Truman Administration.
