IIRC, the Iranian state is set up more to suppress their own people than repel attacks from outsiders.
They may be stuck between Scylla and Charybds if it comes to focusing on Israeli actions and suppressing their civilians.

If you’ve already hit nuclear sites, consulates, and senior military leadership, what stopping you from the decapitation of the mullahs?

I’d be surprised if Israel even told Biden they were doing it. They definitely shouldn’t have. The Biden administration would have probably tried to stop them and warned Iran.

From an Israeli perspective? The mullahs sponsor active terrorism next door to Israel and facilitated the worst attack on Israeli soil in years. If you cripple their nuclear capabilities while taking out leadership, you’ve created a power vacuum in an impotently limp state.
That’s gotta be better than the status quo.
