According to the Financial Times.
In the same report it is claimed that the US and Iran were in contact prior to the attack. In those discussions, the US urged restraint and the Iranians indicated that the response would be limited, and with three objectives. First. Little or no casualties. Two, intended for public consumption (propogands). Three, to demonstrate certain technological capabilities to Israel and the United States.
The US response was that if, in fact, the attack was of the nature described, that the US would do all it could to prevent a major Israeli response.
From the standpoint of the effectiveness of the raids, the Israelis are correct that 99% of the incoming were shot down, the vast majority of which were Drones, somè cruise missled, hezbula rockets and Yemini Drones.
There was damage to two Israeli Airbases within Israel. No loss of life. Some reports indicate that this damage appears to be the result of hypersonic ballistic missle warheads, a handful of which were launched. and for which Israel has no answer. This was intended to demonstrate that in the event of a real war, Israel would be vulnerable to ballistic missle attacks, as would the US fleet.
Israel will run out of missles well before Iran runs out of Drones and Hezbula runs out of $20,000 rockets, of which they have thousands. And according to J.D. Vance, US manufacturing is not capable of replacing diminished stocks, just like Ukraine.

Israel has authorized hits on key Iranian personnel before and may do so again.
I wouldn’t want to be the IT guy in charge of securing their drones because he is about to be on the hot seat.

Trying to get the ink dry on the contracts before DJT turns the faucet off.

Don't worry, protecting Israel is more important than protecting the US, for Congress. They will print trillions more if necessary to defend Israel while our border is invaded by tens of millions.

Air Force and Navy tilt the balance heavily in Isreals favor. Iran won’t get to use those weapons very long as n the event of full war.
All Isreal has to do is survive the opening 12 hrs.

No cost is too much to help our greatest ally.

Do you remember how long it took to eliminate Iraqi Scuds?

forget about Iran. Just let me know when Israel defeats the rag tag Hamas, which they have yet to do

All of our weapons systems are like this. Quickly expended and with long lead times for replacements.
Profit maximization not the best system for national defense when it comes to major wars.

It seems that you have to go in and really kick someone’s arse or spend ungodly amounts of money in todays version of war.

We didn’t have decades of intelligence on Iraq the way Israel does for Iran.
But your point remains. I think it was mobile launchers. Is that’s the threat - not sure how long they can supply and sustain it.

So let me get this straight....
In less than 24 hours, people can break out their calculators without a legit inventory and can determine that a country spent anywhere between $500,000,00 and $1,000,000,000??
What kind of horseshite is that?
Whoever wrote this article don't know if they spent a dollar or $350 dollars, must less a half of billion to 1 billion dollars
This article is nothing more than to show that Israel is bad. They are bullies.. Israel is sooooo mean for leveling Gaza because THEY attacked and killed 1,500 innocent people on day on their peaceful soil
Fake news.

I see. Is that how Iran figures to "break" Israel?

My understanding is that the runways that Israel's f35s take off on (at least some) are cratered as we speak.

One patriot missle costs 4 million dollars. They shoot up multiple missles for every target hit.
This baby costs 10 to 50k to produce. It can fly 1600 miles. The Iranians have thousands of them.
Do you think the Iranians are discouraged by yesterday?
No sir. This is a scam. A money grab by Ratheon and the bureaucratic deep state.

Israel could do the same to Iran initially and let them spend their resources on drones.
And then send in the F-35 and missiles and see how things shake out.

We wouldn’t be able to find and destroy their launch systems in anything like useful numbers.
And they could make Israel unlivable by destroying key infrastructure in the first days of the war. The worry is that people would ultimately choose to leave Israel, it’s no longer “safe”, and not come back.
