Yes, and I say this with absolute self confidence in myself but keeping it real- I’m the most non essential, essential person. I’m just in the wrong (or right?) field.

I’m at work now and I haven’t looked at that list once.

My job is critical for my income.

You could make an argument that the company I work supports the logistics piece and IT, but it’s a stretch.

Regardless, we are still open for business but working fully remote. I’m thankful for that because I need a job to make money and I need money to pay the bills and provide for my family.

Luckily for me I’m in a huge part of the local economy as a plant operator. The economy is struggling as it is, but could you imagine if they made all the plants shut down and send us home how bad it would be? I feel bad enough that most of the contractors have been laid off during this time.

Network engineer. Working home 4 days a week, 1 on site for support. This is a flipped schedule from our normal model. Done to hopefully minimize any exposure or sickness.

Fiber Optic/Network Infrastructure here.
Office of 1 for now. We are deploying only for critical repairs right now and all tools are disinfected with 99% alcohol before they are put back on the truck and again when they return to the office.
