Even if Trump loses the election, should he still fire Wray? I sure hope so.

From Trump's perspective,maybe, if you're forced into the mode of having to rip on the FBI, specifically the upper echelon of the FBI (because they/it sorta deserves it for a spell) then you really don't want YOUR guy in there who has to on the one hand ride with the President but on the other hand feel obligated to stick up for the bureau.....may as well have a guy in there who you really don't mind offending. Maybe. I dunno.

I think that's the situation with the vast majority of D.C. dwellers. Their primary goal is to burn as absolutely few bridges as possible. Because even if Trump is reelected, most of these people still intend on being around D.C. in some role or another even after Trump leaves office, be it 2021 or 2025. Hedging their bets, constantly.
