Is Trump "owed" the nomination?

I hear this line of thinking alot, and not just about Trump, but throughout every level of politics.
I deal with it quite a but on my own local level, where the only way to move up in the political world, is to kiss as many asses and grease as many palms as humanly possible. And only then, the king makers will allow you to ascend to some position like State Rep or County Commisioner.
Back to Trump. When he first announced in 2015, the big appeal to many of his supporters, was that he was an "outsider" and "could not be controlled". There was also a mystery factor that intrigued many people who were figuratively ready to "disrupt" or even "tear down the system", and saw Trump as apparatus to accomplish that.
Flash forward. Trump is back on the campaign trail, but this time he is holding hands with Lindsay Graham (yes the same Lindsay Graham who ran around the Capitol begging the CPD to gun down peaceful Trump supporters), and pimping out Ronna McDonnell and Kevin McCarthy, and marketing the deadly jab and scolding Pro-Life Christians.
What I think the Swamp may have figured out, that many of us already knew, was just how transactional and "willing to make a deal" Trump is. The man even wrote the book about just that. This is the best and worst part about Trump. The good part is you can potentially harness this energy and his transactional nature to affect really good outcomes, the bad part is someone else (like the GOPe) can potentially harness this same thing for their own negative outcomes.
The questions we all need to know, is did Trump strike a deal with the swamp? And if so, what "deal" has Trump made, and what does he get in return? And is it good for us or not? Are "we the people" going to still be at the front of the table moving forward? Or is our loyalty and belief that "he is owed something", going to ultimately weaken our leverage and position at the table and strengthen the swamps position?

No but I'll vote for him if he gets it

So will I. Already voted for him 2x, and will vote for him again of he wins it. But I'm a team player, and have voted for a number of people I did not support, in fact in many cases people I downright despised (like McConnell and McCain).

Trump is done. May he forever be a thorn in the side of Libs.

No. So make him work for it. It's healthy for the process and it keeps Trump in check in terms of issues and who he will potentially appoint (which we know he can improve on a lot).
The issue is, who is going to want to step up and be his punching bag? You can potentially have your political career ended. Risky play.

Not this guy, I'll vote 3rd party. I don't get coerced into voting for a candidate because of their party, heck I'm non-affiliated myself.

About half of this board thinks he is.

No. He’ll win it rather easily though

same here.
In 2015 republican primary and again against the literal demon hillMonster
he was my next to last choice
but became the only choice - and would be again.
We have to get Americans back in office. The CCP Democrat Party thing will not work
immigration
healthcare
forever war
education that actually serves Americans (Dems have worked for many decades against this)
globalism
weaponization of government (also Dem baraq's FT)
are my issues - Trump is the only one I know that will seek solutions FOR AMERICANS

Trump gets my vote. I don't think anyone is owed the nomination but I am ready for a President with bowel control.

Trumps current unforced errors have overshadowed the positives.
Best scenario is he stays the figurehead of the movement while stepping aside and supporting desantis.
He has too much baggage.

What are your political leanings? Are they right of center?
No one should vote if they don't want to (even though Dems do it all the time). But voting to me is simply a math equation. I am never going to get canidates that will do all the things I want, but if they can check more boxes than the other guy, I figure we are at least moving further in the direction I want than the other guy.

At least he didn't shite himself at the Vatican.

In some respects, to the right of Mussolini. To this board though, I'm a "progressive" because I don't care about SoCon ideology.
I despise being told what to do. Like internally despise it. So the last thing I care about doing is restricting others' decisions. I value freedom above ALL else.

No one is owed a Presidential nomination. Hillary Clinton came as close to that as you'll ever see, but she wasn't "inevitable" because she was owed; it was because her husband was powerful enough to intimidate any challengers. They only allowed nonentities, who stood no chance, to run for the nomination. Unfortunately for her, one of those nonentities was Obama.
