It's funny
not illegal
but if an election judge decides it's intimidating at the polls whether it is or not an election judge has the authority of a district court judge during elections so they can have him removed and arrested if he refuses to leave or disrobe

mean are there 10s of thousands of illegals voting?
Personally, I don't think we know because I don't think blue and purple states monitor that rigorously.
We're TOLD that it doesn't happen on a large scale, but the case of the Chinese student at the University of Michigan showed how easy it was. He was encouraged to register at a get out the vote campaign on campus. It was never explained to him that registration didn't mean he could vote.
He voted without a problem...then was discovered only because he wanted to change his ballot. The State of Michigan announced "catching" him as a sign that the system worked. I looked forward to his trial to hear the actual facts.
Guess what happened in the trial? THERE WASN'T ONE. The student miraculously escaped back to China.

key word in all this
It does happen because government and bureaucracy is inefficient at this job
but if it were to happen in large enough numbers, it would show. even if Elon were the one to discover it
And even if it is a Democrat state a liberal state like Massachusetts by law the Republican Party has a right to have someone on the elections board often more than one
county by county parish by parish.
Both parties have the right to be involved in managing the election and if the local Republican Party is on top of it nothing to a grand scale will slip through
Are there some counties or parishes that frick it up in something larger than one happens sure but again not enough ever to change an election

that's what I'm saying. Plus if you're in the country illegally, why are you going to go out of your way to attract attention by voting illegally? You're not.

The significance of the Michigan example is there is nothing to show that it is anomalous. There was literally no mechanism for stopping an illegal from voting in Michigan. There could have been one. There could have been thousands.
As for retrospectively discovering if illegals have voted, my limited understanding is that there isn't enough shared data for the federal government to draw a responsible conclusion.
I really drilled down on the Michigan case...even contacting some of the players. I have ZERO trust in what the state of Michigan says regarding this issue.
Do you think there are master lists that an objective analyst could review that show ALL voters and their citizenship status?

That's a logical inference, but
-what if they are ignorant of the law, like the UMich student
or
-they are confident they won't get caught?

ICE could stand for so much. Maybe people are hired to put 4 5# bags of ice in the back of their pickup for sale near the polling station. One sign would say "ICE here". They could also put ICE signs on their vehicle, wear ICE caps with face coverings, and open carry if legal.
The ice they are selling in the 5# bags goes for $200 per bag. Of course, it won't sell and they can stay there for a very long time. Work shifts if needed.

Sure I guess but I still don't think it's a frequent enough occurrence to swing any results.

Fair enough. I think we understand each other's views.

Too deep a rabbit hole, but would an "election judge" of a Venezuelan election have any authority in the US? I guess you’re right though, somebody called the local police.

Don’t you purport to be an attorney?
Seems to me an attorney should know what’s legal and what’s not legal.
Why have you turned into such a douche canoe? I said it was clearly not a violation of federal law...then provided the Florida law that suggests it might have been illegal...depending on facts we don't yet know.
I posted it because I thought it was funny and wondered whether people thought it SHOULD be illegal. You didn't appreciate the thread. No big deal.

Why are you such a sensitive fricking snowflake?
I was just wondering why an attorney wouldn’t know what the law was. Seems a legit question.

Do you think I didn't provide enough information on the law? What do you think I omitted about which you would like to know more? What was deficient in my legal analysis?
Happy to answer any questions.

The question is in your thread title:
If you’re trying to be rhetorical so be it. Just say so.

I wasn't trying to be rhetorical. I wanted answers to two questions: is it illegal; SHOULD it be illegal?
I had a good fix on the illegality part, but couldn't conclude anything because we don't yet know all the facts. Also, I hadn't done the research on Florida...lol...I'm responding to you as if you were in good faith. Irrespective of what I say, you will just quibble with it.
I will quit wasting our time. Cheers

But to allay any fears you have, no Venezuelan election judge has no authority in America at any level, including elections

Just to be clear, this particular Venezuelan election polling place IS in America. I wanted to make sure we agreed on the facts.
