Baltimore is doing fine. Most of the city is rapidly improving. The problem is that the areas that aren't improving are staying in place. There is going to be an ugly divide in the coming years there.

Things started going downhill when Brooks Robinson retired.

Insert Chiraq, Memphis, Baltimore or any number of other cities......I can't put my finger on it but there's something exactly the same about each one......I wonder what it could be........

As far as the inner city of Baltimore goes, I don't think there are any good people there. Anyone from there that was has left long ago.

Nonsense. You can be poor and a good person.

I completely agree with that but it is also true that you can be poor and a bad person. Baltimore has plenty of that

Baltimore is heading down the same path that Detroit has already went down. San Francisco is in line behind Baltimore.

And if that weren't enough, Baltimore is also startlingly segregated. According to The Associated Press, there is a 20-year life expectancy gap between disenfranchised and overwhelmingly black neighborhoods and areas that are whiter and more affluent.

What kind of cuck shite is this, they are not disenfranchised.

I have one of his baseball cards, but I'll say Baltimore went to Hell when Peter Angelloz bought the Orioles, the Colts moved to Indianapolis, and the Browns (as the Ravens) came to town.

A massive murder rate of mostly very young people in select neighborhoods will drastically affect this statistic.

No.

Baltimore is in a wealthy state, and is in the DMV corridor. It's only a matter of time until the bohemian types begin to invade and passively crunch the troublemaker elements out of the city. Developers are dying to gentrify - and you'll see what happened to DC happen to Baltimore.

100% this. Times Square was a den of iniquity not too long ago.

Mike was brought in to implement the consent decree. If by implementing it, it fixes some of these problems, so be it.

This is what is so funny, by implementing the federal decree to stop "so called aggressive/discriminatory police tactics" the murder rate is now soaring. Hmmmm be careful what you wish for.

Didnt they demand the same fed decree in Furgeson....with the same success?

When the riots happened a few years ago the Mayor said she would "give them room to destroy". When a reporter asked why she said that verbatim she said "I didn't say that, don't get it twisted. The city is run by hood rats just like Chicago and Detroit
