There is a rumor out there, that RBG stayed on as long as she did, to frick the democrats over. She figured she would die anytime between bush to trump era, so her spot would open for a conservative.
She loathed the party for what they did to scalia, and how horrible they were to her great friend.

Yes, it is because you go all buffoon at times. If you paid attention and even listened to his kids, Scalia had had arteriosclerosis and was on multiple stations. So a heart attack was not out of the question.
