Is the Trump presidency thus far going as you thought it would?

I know he is only five months in; but, I'm just curious to read if he has lived up to your expectations so far.

I wasn't expecting the Democrats protests and whine fests to last this long.

Rush told us their would be more backlash and obstruction from the left than ever before.

He was right you know.

I never thought the losers would be so petty.

Yes, I think he's done some pretty good things so far. I think he could do a lot more if the democrats were more interested in helping run the country rather than trying to nail Trump to the wall at every turn.

It's going even better than I thought it would go.

Not a knock, but I'm guessing you are a millennial.

His presidency has exposed more disdain for conservative thought that I thought existed among media and democrats.

Other than that, I didn't expect he would be able to keep all of his campaign promises.

I'm enjoying it so far. Watching the media out themselves has been beautiful. The left's hysteria is another thing of beauty.

No, he brought in too many warmongering people in his cabinet. I also thought Bannon would have more influence and would guard against the neocon influences. I also hoped that nonviolent crimes would be less persecuted. Even with the "outsider" Trump, the one party system still rolls along.....

Yep. I knew he'd do some good things, say some bad things, and be hounded by Democrats his entire Presidency.

Well, he made several bad and questionable picks for his cabinet and kept too many Obama stooges on for too long. That was a pretty big mistake. it looks like he is waking up to this now, but it will be impossible to undo the damage. If can mitigate enough of it, he might be able to accomplish something of significance over the next couple of years.

Limbaugh is part of the problem. He keeps conservatives locked inside the false right/left rigged paradigm.

He has done everything he said he would. Problem is he has Obama's district judge buddies blocking his travel ban. He has republicans in Congress refusing to repeal ACA (a real repeal).

1) The economy is better (a huge recovery, actually).

2) Jobs are better.

3) Illegal immigration is way down.

4) Sessions is going to enforce the law (a major bust of MS-13 happened in L.A. the other day).

5) Trump got an American prisoner in Egypt released. He negotiated for 1 minute after Obama tried for 3 years. LINK

6) He nominated Neal Gorsuch

7) Got China to buy American beef (which they have refused for years)

8) Got China to cooperate on NK after spending one weekend with the Chinese president.

This notion that Trump has "done nothing" is batshit crazy nonsense.

Yes. Just about as I expected. He's an inflammatory Jimmy Carter with slightly better hiring instincts in some ways and very much worse hiring instincts in other ways.

No. I had assumed that the US mob would have taken over the White House by now, not the Russian mob.
