This looks to be the case.
All those Obama era bureaucrats are probably untouched.

When a new IT guy comes in and looks at the server room and there's a 10 year old server that nobody know wtf it does, you know what he does? He pulls the plug. If nobody screams that their shite is broken, you throw it way. If someone starts hollering, you fix it and put it on one of the new efficient servers.

Irrelevant. His post was specific to Seattle.
It was, and it was in response to someone who specifically called out two states.
It was stupid.

There is a little boat basin and camping area on Fire Island called Watch Hill. All of the island was turned into a national park a few decades ago with generations old beach houses taken over by the government and torn down.
Except for several houses near the basin that the Park Service gives to employees for perks. Needless to say, that doesn't sit well with people who had their houses taken.

but these folk are rare exceptions.
My interactions with most park rangers have mainly been with power trippers. The remaining were loafers, getting to my request whenever they felt time for it. Mostly after I repeated my original request
I had just one guy (in Yellowstone) that humorously interacted with our party over a perceived rules infraction. The rest just barked commands, or pretended that we were on their personal property. And treated us as trespassers.
And its the same attitude at Yellowstone, Yosemite, Smoky Mountains, Pearl Harbor, Sequoia, Volcanoes, Canaveral, Everglades, Tortugas, Tetons, Alcatraz, Natchez Trace, Arches, Bryce Canyon, Capital Reef, Golden Spike, Zion, Glacier, D.C. area, and Rocky Mtn. So it wasnt just some off day for the rangers

Well, some us don’t live in shitholes like Mississippi that is covered in litter (like Louisiana) and value the outdoors
So, all park rangers do is pick up trash? Not surprising. I have friends that were park rangers. Sounded like a pretty cush gig, as long as you didn't expect a high salary.

Bears are in charge now
Why is Trump putting hairy, overweight gay men in charge of our national parks?
Most of the dude park rangers already were gay bears... Now it's just the actual bears.

I would hope Robert Kennedy speaks out on this a bit. I’m not sure why supposed conservatives that insist they care about the great outdoors find this to be a good idea.
I voted for Trump but this is bullshite
Sorry to burst your bubble, but a lot of those jobs are bullshite too and unnecessary.

Conservatives miss the mark on this one.
I want to make sure I can bring my children hunting out west. Maintaining some semblance of wilderness is very important to me.
Being able to disappear into the mountains for a couple weeks a year is imperative to my mental health.
So doing away with some park rangers means you won't be able to do that? Okay...

It's OK to admit this is idiotic.
It's also okay to admit this is life... people get fricking laid off every day. We have an issue with government overspending and waste... and fraud. Nothing is off the table. Many of those park ranger type jobs are also a joke, paying people to barely work.
It's also okay to admit you really don't care, you just hate Trump and your TDS saw another opportunity to cry and talk shite about OMB. frick you. You were seething since the election, the inauguration and now the news telling you every day how meanie Trump and Elon are being, so you came back here to lash out at Trumpers.

You could've just said you were a moron. You didn't have to type all that out.

Point well taken
There were usually 6 to 9 of us, and only 1 park ranger
One instance my sweet mother had gone over to ask for info, and the ranger barely looked up, pointed to the brochure center, and went right back to whatever he was doing. She walked over there, and then returned to ask a follow-up question, to find the ranger had left the room

Cool, I’m against DEI but it’s in literally every industry.
Our park services are loaded with these LGBTQ nut jobs.

Last time there was a Parks and Wildlife shutdown, we were camping at a fed park in the mountains of New Mexico. They made us leave to a very aged private campground a couple of miles away. No big deal. But two days later the elk season opened up and hunters streamed into the fed park.
I asked the smokie bear guys what gives, it is supposed to be shutdown. Response was the hunters had already purchased their tags
