Is the DOW returning to where it was a year ago brag-worthy?

2018 was the worst year for stocks since 2008. That won't stop him from sunshine pumping it as an accomplishment though

The market is not the best indicator of economic health.

Have fun.

It will get back to 26,000 when the trade deal is done, then what will you say?

Lol, when stocks were soaring it was all because of Trump and proof the economy was humming. Weird how the story changes about what the DOW means when it's correcting.

Can you show me the calculation for your economic forecast? Or is it covered in dookie from where you pulled it from?

No, but it should have been substantially stronger than this on the heels of the tax cuts. No way to spin this other than being a disappointing year for stocks.

Dude. Here is some advice.

Copy the below into a word doc and save it.

Every morning open that doc and copy the text.

Every time you feel like posting here or making a lame thread just hit control v until you feel better. Oh and get one of those cushioned matts so you don't bruise your soles.

Copy and save.

Anyone who believes a president has a lot of impact on the market is void of economic knowledge.
That being said one of the few things a president can do to impact a market is tariffs. Of course this should not be true because congress constitutionally has that power.
He had more to do with the negative year than he had to do with the positive. But either way it’s marginal.

When you have a year like 2017, you want to avoid a higher P/E ratio. 2018 was a year where the market corrected itself plus the Federal Reserve raised interest rates twice. I expect 2019 to be a better year with higher growth.

Three points.

1.) The market always fluctuates. Under Trump. Under Obama.
2.) The market has been higher under Trump than under Obama.
3.) You are a homosexual.

Why didn’t the fed raise rates before then? Almost like there was something different about who was running things.

The stock market at it's lowest point last year, was still 8000 points higher than Obama's best year. So yeah, Trump's doing pretty good.

I always wonder what goes through some of these libtards minds, like jbond here, when they start a thread destined for failure.

Is it just complete unawareness of how stupid they really are?
Or are they just so caught up in their own TDS that, like Tourette syndrome, they can not control the urge to start a thread that will not go well for them.

Let's take jbond in this thread. He starts this thread based on what? I mean, it's an attempt to bash Trump, but he's post factual evidence of a market correction. The market dipped in 2018, and it's rebounded very quickly. Unless you are following the market on a day to day trend basis, which smart people do not do, then you would know that our market is doing exceptionally well.

Stock market under Trump at it's lowest, well outperformed Barry's stock market.
Even with a 3000 point faulter in 2018, in a month or 2 it already rebounded.
Maintaining 25000 on the DJIA, which outperforms every year on record, is really good. A lot better than maintaining 13 to 14k under Obama.

Jbond, do you really not realize how much you do not know?

I'm pathetic, not the president who takes credit when the DOW is soaring and blames the Fed and Dems when it isn't
