Does anyone think this will be the last time government uses the excuse of a health crisis to deny citizens rights?
What prevents them from repeating this power grab again?

Supposedly the courts, but in view of the USSC’s recent rulings, we’re totally screwed.

I’ve been thinking about this a good bit lately. I fully expect that the next time there’s a bad flu season there will be loud, shrill calls for wearing masks and social distancing. Possibly even mandates in democrat run states.

This is a scary thought. I could not have envisioned the S.C. not defending religious liberties like what has happened.

If state officials can make arbitrary and endless mandates based on skewed health information, there is nothing to stop them going forward.

Hell, it worked. Sure they're going to do it.

The Neo Marxists have figured out this is how to engineer/restructure American society.

Just wait until "climate change" is declared a similar "crisis".

They may not get away with it but the next dem president will try it at some level.

100%

They tested the waters with COVID and they learned that not only will the masses obey, but they can get the masses to self police Soviet style.

Of course. Pandora is out of the box. Wait until they need to control our behavior to halt global warming.

The mind control of the masses via MSM & social media is mind-boggling to me

Can you name a single example of the federal govt ceding power back to the people? Look at FISA as an example. We all knew it could be a potentially slippery slope. The very next fricking president used it to spy on his political opponents.

This is here to stay- and will 100% be used as a tool to control the masses.

I've never known the US government to give back any liberties that they take. Thats why racism is being classified as a public health crisis, they will keep doing it until you are mentally "well."

Discussed 3 years ago, all planned and set up for Hillary.

Hillary would have declared a state of emergency with the arrival of the caravans.

EO's planned years ago.

If racism can be defined as a health crisis, you know climate change will too.

Well, Governments have never been good at giving rights back after they have successfully taken them away.
