That seems grossly unfair to let them skate but nail Manafort and the Russian chuck for the same crime

The law is the law, and the law clearly states it is illegal to not disclose you are doing lobbying work for a foreign nation

I’m all for Manafort, gates, et al getting nailed but it would be very disappointing to see mueller not equally apply justice

NBC is reporting he is granting immunity to Glenn Simpson (founder of fusion gps) and Podesta Group

I swear if good hearted posters like tigerdoc and Brian Wilson defend this...

Why are you surprised? There's nothing honest about Mueller.

Someone should write a book about all of this up until now because I’ll be damned if I can keep all of it straight.

If they have yo be under oath and admit what they did, it will lead to Hillary and other big fish, I'm fine with that. But they HAVE to come totally clean. Any unanswered ornundisclosed crimes of information, and they go down for all.

I'm beginning to see how this will be great for Trump and Republicans.

Give them immunity? Who signs off on it? So we prosecute no one EXCEPT Republicans now?

They protect each other. They are truly above the law.

Manafort would've remained untouchable, if not for his small connection to Trump. Establishment is opting to revoke protection status on anyone that is connected to trump.

It pisses me off that there are people that have protection statuses.

Absolutely not. Mueller is trying to cover up THEIR crimes.

Swamp gonna swamp. Justice isn't equally applied anymore

We won't know who is getting immunity for testifying, as opposed to using their 5th amendment privileges, until the trial.

If I were to hazard a guess, at least some of these immunity offers are for those who collaborate with Manafort in money laundering. The guy who sold him all the rugs was knowingly collaborating in a money laundering operations. There were quite a few others beyond the rug guy.

If he were on trial for this, he would be acquitted for lack of evidence.

So Podesta's get off the hook for the same crime?

I'm not sure Mueller has this authority. And if he does, I can't imagine it would apply to all potential cases in all USA offices / districts.
