The Texas Dems are going to go full blown identity politics on Cruz. The whisper campaign in Hispanic communities will be that he's not really Hispanic, not the right kind at least....he's Cuban, he's not one of us......make book on it. I'm surprised though that they are going Beto O'Rourke instead of Castro

Easy fix. Ted will speak Spanish during he debates with O’Rourke and let him figure it out later.

Beto is white and young. Ted will crush him in the debates.

Alabama is not blue, nor will it ever be because there are about 65% of the population that are decent people

Rubio is there too. If he screws up tax reform, he'll drop from top 1, 2 or 3 to 50th in one fell swoop.

Start saying to yourself, "Senator Perry" over and over so that you get used to the sound of it, because once Cruz wins re-election, Trump is going to place him on the SC and then Governor Abbott will appoint Rick Perry to his place.

Looks like Castro is going to launch his 2020 presidential run by losing a US Senate race.

I like Beto and I'll vote for him if it's close but realistically Cruz is a lock

Is this the same Castro that completely fricked up while he was in Obama's cabinet?

As in billion dollar frickups?

Coming from Texas Republican politics I can tell you Cruz is universally despised.

Texas loves Cruz. He's one of the best senators in DC and would have won the presidential primary and general in a walk if not for the Trump phenomenon.

Eh, I can buy winning the primaries but I just don't see Ted Cruz connecting with the rust belt enough to win them like Donald Trump did.

One of the biggest reasons why Trump did so well there is that he didn't frame it as liberal vs conservative but the forgotten man sending a very harsh and tough message to the out of touch political class in DC.

Trump probably uttered the words liberal or conservative no more than ten times during the general.

Texas' economy grew at a 6.2% annualized rate in the second quarter and the biggest scandal in history is unfolding - yep, need to elect a leftist

Is Marco Rubio in trouble in Florida??? He will be if he continues his current line of bullshat. You better call your personal hotline to him to get him to STFU.

Just got a phone call today from DC asking me to just that.

Go Beto go!

I think O'Rourke gets close but doesn't beat Lyin' Ted.

But Dems are getting stronger and stronger in Texas. Look for Dems to flip 3 Congressional seats in 2018 overcoming Texas' absurd gerrymandering.
