This.

My wife is a stay at home mother. It doesn’t make sense for her to go make 2-4k more a month and add 2-3k in expenses just for some $8 an hour employee to be taking care of our children.

What if your wife has a good job though?

Nothing is worth paying a stranger $8/hr to raise your own children.

It’s not a money issue.

It’s a complete mind shift from a few generations ago: Make money, party and enjoy life, without the burden of having to raise children.

No one needs all the material things people have today compared to the past. Go have kids.

Boomers were given the greatest economy in the world. They decided to be hippies in their teens and 20s, then in their 40s decided they could increase their profits by sending manufacturing jobs overseas and importing migrants for the most basic manual labor jobs. History will show them as the downfall of the US.

Do school teachers raise your kids as well?

Your kids are in school all day, every day right? K-12. Also during those very important formative years if development.

I guess homeschooling is your only choice if you dont want somebody else raising your kids.

The future belongs to the people that are having children.

Why these people want to edit themselves from history is something I don't understand.

You do not need much money to have children. There are billions of examples of this in our history.

There are demons among us ... celebrities and influencers ... and white women.

thank you for your substantive, thoughtful rebuttal.

What did you expect from an unsubstantiated claim? I must have missed the excess spending, or perhaps your claim is merely casting blame

Young people underestimate/ignore the work their parents and grandparents put it to get to the more or less comfortable life they remember.

For some reason, young people think “if I can’t have that life right off the bat on my own, I get to be upset about it.”

Take away child care and it really isnt bad once you get past the 1st year and assuming no medical issues.

My son has 4 his wife is a stay at home. It really is amazing the difference watching them vs. Family's around us trying to keep up with the Kardashians. Kids are in daycare from sun up to sundown or if old enough at the house after school until dark by themselves. There is very little parenting going on. Which makes for kids that turn into adults like the guy in the OPs video.

yeah, I was reminiscing about elementary school in the 60s. Having bomb blast drop and cover drills, routinely hearing sonic booms from air force jets tooling around. It was easy to hear as we were in portable buildings without AC and all the windows were open. Didn't have AC in our home growing up until mid 70s. Football practice wasn't so bad in Texas August when you never had AC.

One thing the boomers did do with some of that spending, and other generations can thank, is they ended the cold war. I was a new born when the Cuban missile crises occurred. My mom and dad told me at the time, they really thought this was the end. I think dad told me his boss let all the men go home for a couple of dads. Thought they should die at home with their families.

No... I homeschool. Have been doing so since 2014/2015 school year.
