Has the total acreage of US forest area changed since 1926?

Also, taking individual disasters and attributing them to climate change is just as stupid as, "it snowed in Houston, what global warming?!"

Uber Alles Jerry Brown and his type are partially responsible for this CA disaster. And the morons who keep voting them in are reaping what they have sown.

No, it's held steady at about 33% Forest coverage since 1907.

They'll blame it on climate change to avoid doing anything practical. The fires will continue to happen.

Looking at this graph, my best guess is that the 1946-1994 downward trend was a combination of deforestation for post war development, improved fire fighting methods and better management.

The post mid-nineties uptick is due to decreased management in the name of environmentalism.

Idk but global warming must be dealt with.

We need to get more thermometers off the street.

I would blame PG&E for not doing preventative maintenance on their equipment

130 million dead trees might have something to do with it.

That graph is the problem with our forestry management.

We're not even close to a healthy burn rate.

Bingo, it has to be as nebulous as possible so you can blame anything on it.

Here's a big environmental shocker:

Forest fires are a natural part of the eco-system and have been for billions of years.
