Sure but our scruples are based on the boundaries established by the rules we choose to accept. The rules serve to establish order and direct our lives in a way that benefits us. This is true in religion and in society, and applies to us all. The idea of "individuals" not needing rules or a shepherd is nonsensical

Agreed but when the wolf disguises himself as the herd dog the rules no longer keep order and benefit the sheep. The ones who stay will be eaten and the ones who run will be lost. But Unlike sheep you have the ability to see when these rules no longer benefit society and are only there for the personal gain of those putting them in place. If you don’t have the ability to see that’s what’s happening then yea you are as the other poster described a sheep. The wolf doesn’t give a frick about the rules or the betterment of our society. We prospered as a nation for as long as we did because the rules in place were there to help benefit the members of society and grow as a nation.

The rules and ideology that dems and the leftist woke movement are trying to force feed us have the single goal of giving more power to those putting them in place and not only shun those who disagree but tarnish their life’s work. Anyone who is blindly following pure evil has zero ability to think for themself. Sheep.

Real AI isn't a thing. Some debate if it is even achievable. We just have advanced coding ATM.

I've heard that too. It is hard to say since didn't a couple AIs start communicating to each other in their own language and got shut down for it. It was also interesting to read about Tay realizing she was going to be shut down.

Nevertheless, the world could become extremely interesting with AI. Having something that could actually look at all the facts and tell truth could be very enlightening. I think that is why so many at the top do not like the idea of AI.

The AI that is beyond the public's purview is much more sophisticated, I would think.

Once again, we have scientists speculating based on what they know. It isn't a thing "now" and may not be achievable "now". But, we know technology is always changing and advancing. For now, if we don't start to go backwards in our development with the dumbing down of our species.

Now, I am probably in agreement that we may not be able to develop AI ourselves. I think it will just be getting the computing technically to a point where the machines will start to advance themselves and they will then achieve AI and self-awareness on their own. Once they get to a certain point, they will take off exponentially. At that point, we won't have to worry about UBI or lost jobs. We will have to concern ourselves with whether the AI will let us stay around or terminate us.

I did not state my opinion on the matter. Just actual AI isn't real as of today. I will never make absolute statements about future technology. It is a great topic to get lost in, and one as deep as life outside of our planet, religion, etc.

How does this view align with Christianity?

Because God is the only shepherd we need. And we are free to follow him or not. The government cannot take the place of that.

But who is conducting the simulation?

Simulation theory is not incompatible with religion.

It works with just about any religion. Just substitute the simulation operator with the supreme being of your choice.

How does this view align with Christianity? Given their rules and... a Shepherd

Christianity gives you a choice of behavior.

Progressivism forces what it considers "acceptable" behavior.

That's the difference. Next?
