No doubt there is a correlation but lack of intelligence can be overcome through focus and dedication aka overachievement.

after listening to Zuckerberg at Harvard, I'd say no. Think about Lurch Kerry, he married into it, doesn't make him intelligent. There are plenty of fools that are loaded. Economic success is a better gauge of hard work, imo.

Intelligence helps one to be better in any endeavor they choose. Doesn't matter if one chooses to be a house painter, a businessman, or a basketball player.
A 6'2" smart basketball player can consistently beat a 6'4" dumb one. However, a 7'4" player with average intelligence will defeat a 4'1" genius.
But it is not the only factor. Work ethic, determination, social skills, luck, etc. play roles as well. For example, if Einstein had been born in 40,000 BC there is a lesser chance that he would have been a hugely successful caveman as he was a physicist. Inventing a new hide tanning method doesn't prevent one from being killed by a cave bear. But maybe he would have more descendants or lived one winter longer since they and he would be better clothed.
So if we use politics as an example, this is political talk, the Hilldabeast was intelligent, hard working, determined, and had enough social skills to build a core of minions and to wed Bill. She was lucky enough to hitch her wagon to Bill. She was a political success, First Lady, Senator, Secretary of State, and two times presidential contender. While she had many defects: greed, low economic ethics, extreme self centered, poor political instincts, and a grating personality, stupidity wasn't one of them. But she and leftist in general often get blind sided because they always believe their opponents are stupid. Except Putin!

From '87-present his wealth has "only tripled", which had he put it in the S&P500 at the time would've grown at a much higher rate, however was a much riskier option back then. I can't say many people can fault a guy for being somewhat conservative with his investments once he got to $1.5 billion.
People making the comparison to investing in the S$P500 are doing the projection assuming all of the initial money and earnings remained invested for the entire time period, but Trump was drawing income to live on from his investments the entire time, and he was obviously living large.

They made a show (The Apprentice) about people basically sucking his dick to avoid getting fired by him and the show ran for 17 seasons! Tupac used to ride his nuts in his raps ("Trump tight, never sloppy"). Before he started challenging Obama in 2011, Trump was the best example out there of a son of a immigrant who made it in America and made it big!

Trump is good for ratings. It's why he got so much free publicity during the primary.

You say "son of a immigrant" like he came from some poor family.
He took a small fortune and made a huge fortune out of it. That's great. But to say it's the best example of making it big from nothing is crazy.

Some jobs that pay well just don't appeal to people of higher intelligence because they're not mentally satisfying. IE, an English Lit Prof at LSU-Shreveport does not make as much money as a good plumber.
I've known mailmen who quit even though the job paid well. It was just boring as hell.

"History" boy...he's not the son of an immigrant and he's not a self-made man. His father was the immigrant's son and he was the self-made man.
