if you're going to quote wikipedia, don't include this:

i don't know why we try to do that. i think it has something to do with avoiding how terrible mankind used to be. we're just not comfortable viewing them in that way and we would rather make our contemporary selves feel guilty for much more minor transgressions
I think humans just tend to attribute awful characteristics to those in positions of authority regardless of the shared value of that characteristic.
Just look at the hypocrisy with members of the Republicans and Democrats when a member of the other commits a common transgression. "So-and-so is being a typical democrat by participating in corruption" but when the Republican does it it's an isolated incident or "the other side does it too."

Assuming that all peoples of the Earth were on this planet roughly the same amount of time, what factors caused the situation where the people of Africa and North America were so VASTLY behind the rest of the world(not just the whites) in terms of technological advancement?
Higher population density for one. It forced Europeans to be more creative.
When Columbus first landed in North America, the population of the present-day US was about 3 million. That made it very easy to just live off the land.

True... like when the Romans occupied the land of pre-civilized Britain. The Brits knew the Romans were more advanced and in charge and this caused great resentment. But when the Romans left the Brits were like "Glad those SOBs are gone. But, ya know, they had some pretty good ideas." The interaction of the two cultures helped the Brits to advance.
More recently, the Indians hated the British for colonizing their country. But they sure grew fond of cricket and martinis.

And then there was a little thing called 'writing.' American Indians and S.S. Africans never developed writing so things learned from experience and experimentation were not written down. So, future generations couldn't build on the past...they had to relearn it.

Racism is vital for Caucasians, because we are the only people who literally go extinct when mixing with most other races since our genes are recessive.

I think he's referring to white marrying a black = black children. Think Obama.

That's a social construction not biological, though.

Of course a simple soul would not understand why I would include the academic citation when referencing a wiki quote.

Whats that got to do with "recessive" traits though?

There is a biological component. If Miss Sweden marries Mr. Uganda they cannot have a blue eyed, blonde haired child. Because that's a recessive gene.

Hey, Wild, I had an Indian classmate in college. True conversation...
Mukesh: Zach, are their any British students here?
Me: I don't think so.
Mukesh: Good. If you find one, tell me. I will kill him. I hate the British.
Me: OK

I don't know if I'd be attacking other posters on level of knowledge if I were you.

Yea those aren't simple recessive traits. Regardless, whats the point? Alleles's don't just disappear from the population anyways. Are you taking a stance pro "racial purity?"

Oh, the guy who posted that whites are going extinct had no point. I was just trying to guess what his thought process was.

That's because the British used Martinis to subdue the Indian sub-continent. (In case you weren't quite sure of the reference, those are Martini rifles.)
Posted on 4/27/14 at 10:39 am to Zach
Oh ok, gotcha. Yea I don't think he has much of a coherent "thought process" judging by his prior posts.

Some would argue the same for 'race'.
