Sorry for predicting how all this ME stuff would end for the past 26 years as a result of understanding it rather than "They hate us for our freedoms"?

Have you ever thought about putting yourself on the other side of things and thinking about how you would react to the same things? It's kind of helpful for understanding the direction things are likely to go.

If a country overthrew our democratically elected leaders and installed a dictator who killed people who resisted, put them in jail and so on while said leader gave away resources/wealth to these countries - would you not want to have a rebellion against that dictator?

And yet I'm supposed to be shocked and think them crazy for doing that in 1979? I'm just not. I find it to be extremely rational and what you would expect.

Now then it's just a simple matter of who is going to fight and it's always going to be the most extreme. That's just how it works. No doubt in my mind if it happened in the US, we'd be backing whoever shouted "Death to that Country" the loudest and promised to provide the most resistance.

Are you telling me that you would just be obedient to the other country? That you wouldn't be supportive of the rebellion and what not?

I find that hard to believe.

And if Mexico attacked us and that same country gave Mexico chemical weapons and other weapons that get used on our citizens, is that going to make you want to attack them less?

And if that country killed all our leadership and said they would keep doing it until they put someone who would be their puppet, is that going to make you want to attack them less?

If you keep attacking people, they are going to keep fighting back. If your goal is to profit on the death and destruction with all the money and resources spent on that, then you're doing the right thing.

If you ever hope to maybe live in peace and let the American people keep their resources, which is then spent locally into productive things like improving the quality of life, then maybe you should get a fricking clue.
