I wouldn't put any stock in that story. It's not just that Iran often lies. It's that CNBC constantly lies.

They're just trying to get Trump to engage discussion so they can crap on any deal prior to election. I don't think they'll do anything until election is over in the hopes that Democrats win house and/or senate. China is in on this bs too. All Xi's talk at this time is bull shite. He doesn't mean any of it and will go along with iran to pull the rug out from under Trump just before election if possible. Hopefully Trump sees through this nonsense and holds his ground.

... yesterday that Iran guy was on ABC News and ol' Martha was talking about how the Iran guy was at a meeting with the supreme leader who had been rumored to be in bad shape.
At this meeting the Iran guy and the supreme leader were sitting in traditional way on the floor, on pillows , and the supreme leader was crossing and uncrossing his legs and arms ...
Let's just SEE some of that crossing and uncrossing of arms and legs before believeing anything AT ALL ...

I wish Trump would tell them that boat has sailed, and they should have taken that deal when it was offered.
All that is available now is the unconditional surrender of all IRGC and mullahs.

This may shock folks, but the Iranian government is really good at hating. They hated Carter because he let the Shah in for cancer treatments and went well out of their way to torpedo his Presidency. Even though it caused great economic damage to themselves.
They hate Trump a lot more than they hated Carter. Iran will make Trump crawl on his belly like a reptile before they sign a deal... and even then there is a good chance they will yank that deal away at the last minute.
We are stuck in a war at least until the next Presidential administration takes over. Unless they can force Trump to sign a nice, humiliating deal to show the entire world.

No talks. They’ve ruined that chance. Bring us all the missiles disassembled and uranium. Drop it off on Kharg Island. On top of that, we get the first 10 shipments of oil coming out of Iran for free to pay the tab for this skirmish. We also get to tax every ship coming out, not going to USA, until we are made whole going back to the 70’s.
