Trump said that American would never surrender it’s sovereignty to the ICC or anyone else.

His exact words were:

quote:

Trump also said the International Criminal Court (ICC) lacked any legitimacy and violated "all principles of justice." "As far as America is concerned, the ICC has no jurisdiction, no legitimacy, and no authority," Trump said. "The ICC claims near-universal jurisdiction over the citizens of every country, violating all principles of justice, fairness, and due process. We will never surrender America's sovereignty to an unelected, unaccountable global bureaucracy."

Those were very odd comments for him to make at this place and time. Did anyone really think that this would ever be the case? When American citizens would be tried in The Hague instead of on American soil?

Just one of those things that make you go “huh?” What’s he referring to?

q

Obama and Clinton routinely referred to the supremacy of the ICC in deciding matters internationally, and the UN more generally.

Yes. Globalism / UN. It seems to be what the Progressives want. Obviously, a little ways to go but the path seems clear.

i take it as trump being proactive for when he's no longer president

the one thing he's been consistent about is looking out for Americans.

This is the way globalists think it should work. And somehow they're able to convince a bunch of lemmings that this is the Utopia they all hope for. World peace, "we are the world, we are the children . . ." kumbaya, etc. And then George Soros emerges as the master of the universe in control of everyone and everything. It's that last part they don't get.

It was a weird statement.

But I agree that an American should never surrender his rights to an international court.

I remember lots of chatter about GW, Cheney, and US service men and women, possibly some Generals/Admirals being tried for war crimes over Iraq. Especially when the Abu Ghraib photos and stories of prisoner abuse came out.

Victor Orban of Hungary and Trump have very similar philosophies when it comes to these type matters. Orban is taking on the EU and Soros in regards to migration and national sovereignty. I have been watching his speeches to the EU recently and the man is a hero.

Oh clearly it is a message on many levels, some clearly to a specific issue, another to let them all know the Ole Boy System is Over
