Most of the ICE guys I knew were Hispanic. Same for most of the Customs guys. A good chunk of the BP guys I knew were white.

I had a fraternity brother that was border patrol. The stories he would tell were shocking.

Same thing with border patrol. I've spend a lot of time between Brownsville and Matamoros on various projects and anecdotally 90% of the border patrol agents were Hispanic.

For the most part, it's just business for them. I haven't seen too many that take a personal stake in apprehending illegals. Most of those guys sympathize with the people they catch (obviously not the violent traffickers) because they know they're just trying to seek better opportunity. The myth that these DHS guys are just a bunch of meathead cowboys looking to beat up Mexicans is absurd.

As someone who used to process clearance paperwork for ICE
Anyone like that would not be qualified to be an ICE agent. You need a 4 year degree or experience working in federal law enforcement. A lot of times both.

He said Texas wasn't that bad but Arizona was like the wild wild west. BP agents getting into fire fights.

Hate to break it to you bro but probably 60-70% of ICE agents on the southern border are Hispanic.
And ICE is considered the cream of the DHS crop. These are not your donut eating ticket writing city cops.

Honestly, 70% is probably low... Had a very good friend in college who was 100% Mexican and from Arizona... Also a s right wing and traditional as it got. His family came and visited Arkansas and cooked a gigantic Mexican feast and it was one of the best times I ever had.
He became a swat team cop in metro Arizona and was looking to get into federal stuff like border patrol or ICE. Talked about the shite he saw and being on patrol on 110 degree July days. Dude is one of the best Americans I ever met...and I was proud to call him a friend. Most of the border guys are probably just like him. Decent, Spanish descent Patriots.
These left wing filth are beyond disgusting.
