Something doesn’t feel right. Government took a stake in it last year/bailed this company out as it was failing

When has a government brand ever been successful?

Govt has propped up many an industry and been repaid as long as the company had a true need in society (eg not climate change related). Banks and autos have paid us back in the past I believe. The intel investment looks pretty sound. Airlines suck as an investment so I’m hopeful we just let JetBlue buy them as they offered years ago.

No, we get the benefit of keeping a segment of that entire industry in America. Not real comforting last yr when Taiwan was under threat and held all the chip products

People are too stupid to think this deep. Especially on here.

Between the incestuous cash flows in the AI space and the government being its largest shareholder, who knows what the actual valuation should be:

The chipmaker has been championed by the Trump administration, which turned the U.S. government into the largest shareholder last year as part of an effort to bring chip manufacturing stateside. Nvidia and SoftBank also invested billions in Intel.

It is because of their new chip factory in Arizona. It is a first of its kind in a huge way.

It's amazing how many people don't understand the national security interest in having chips manufactured in the USA
